Can we please not get bogged down with the exact dates and times, the way some of you obsessed about it during season 1? Just go with it, people!
I was just glad that the guy Kate slept with didn't do anything cruel to her. I thought for sure he was going to humiliate her in front of his friends at the bar. Relieved that didn't happen. I think they should have made Randall and Beth's house a different, smaller and more modest one than their present-day home. Obviously, they're very wealthy *now,* but it would have been more believable if they weren't living in that home in their 20's. I thought it was interesting that they showed how shallow Kevin really was. He was quite willing to sell his friend out for that role! Glad he's grown into a more mature person. Jack and his constant, over-the-top enthusiasm is really starting to grate on my nerves. He's waaaaay too "fun dad." I'm continually impressed by Mandy Moore's acting. She's really doing a great, very believable job. She's usually the one who makes me teary! |
When did Kevin first injure his knee? Probably senior, maybe junior year - he was talking about his dad making a reel for college scouts. When Jack died, Kevin was wearing a cast. Rebecca and Miguel haven't talked for 8 years, but I doubt they would have stopped talking right after the funeral. Probably kept in touch for a few years. The episode was 2008, so he probably died in 1997/1998. That would put them in high school. |
Yes, what does she do? |
All of this, but especially the bolded! I was sure the guy Kate was sleeping with was going to humiliate her. It sucks that he was married but I'm glad he was into her (as weird as that sounds). I liked that they showed Kevin being a jerk- it's nice to see these characters are not perfect and have real flaws. Also, it can't be *that* shocking that an actor would behave this way, right? I mean it's Hollywood- very cutthroat culture. |
I wonder if they will show him having sleep with someone, a la Harvey Weinstein or Kevin Spacey. |
What is the name of the fan that he gave his daughter? |
I think the brand name was Tessanna, so they called her Tess. Isn't their second daughter named "Annie"? |
She was waitressing in her 20's and then at the end of the last episode, it showed her moving out to LA to live with Kevin. I guess that's how she started working for him as his assistant. |
I'm on board with you! I know this show isn't perfect, but I love it so much. I thought the exact same thing about the house ... it would have been kind of charming/more realistic to see them in a cute, small house. Beth looked amaaaaazing "fake pregnant." |
This is correct. I started watching the show because it was about triplets who were 36, thus born in 1980. The same year I was born. |
I cant stand Kevin or Kate. They are both losers. Did neither of them even go to college? Neither seem to have any sense of purpose or any intellectual curiosity or ability. They dont take any responsibility for their own lives, blaming everything on their upbringing and parents. Its so pathetic. I love Randall though, even when he geeks out. He hit the jackpot when he married Beth. She is amazing. Probably the best character on the show IMO. I also love Rebecca. |
Exactly. They’re such losers. It’s unrealistic that parents as thoughtful and responsible and loving as Rebecca and Jack can produce such losers. There’s no reason for the two of them to be as dysfunctional as they are. It’s just a poor plot point. |
How the heck was Randall living in that huge multimillion dollar house in NJ at age 28? |
I think you meant "Did EITHER of them even go to college?" And why should an actor go to college? What a complete waste of time & money that would be! |
Did you even go to college? |
