Yeah, it did nothing for me, and that's the first complaint I've had about the entire two seasons of this show. It just seemed hokey to me, and I'm a total sap! |
I assume they filmed many, many scenes with the young actors we haven't seen yet and will be inserting those scenes into future shows. The Glamour article mentioned this was done with Kate and her dad having the talk about her wanting to marry him. |
Totally agree the vow renewal with old Jack was FOS.
I don't know why Deja's mom would terminate her own rights. So Deja does well with the family. Couldn't she just live with them since the mom is homeless? |
What is "on the pole?" |
Stripper |
oh. thanks. |
Plus 1 million!!! |
It bothered me that Toby's brother was never mentioned in the wedding episode. I get that with his absence at the bachelor party it was established that they aren't close, but it's like he just didn't exist in the wedding episode. |
My guess was Deja in a mental hospital or similar. |
I think she's just so incredibly angry that her own mother couldn't get it together and essentially, gave her up. I think the idea that she could possibly "belong" to anyone else was just too much for her to handle in that moment. |
I could tell they weren't going to happen just by Kevin's reaction to her at the wedding. She's got an annoying personality. |
I'll offer a more superficial reason: teen girls don't want to be told they look like their Dad, it could be misunderstood as a girl has manly features or broad shouldered. Plus she never met her biological father. |
You’re missing the point. The writer wrote that reaction so his real-life wife wouldn’t be fake-making out with Kevin. "Of course I had to write the part where she flirts with Kevin, the handsomest guy in the world," Fogelman jokes. "It's never going to happen again!" |
On a tangent and going all the way back to the very first episode, I recall that only Randall used their last name "Pearson" during the entire episode so that they didn't give away the family connection until the end scene. I'm going to watch it again to be sure. |
I got the point - I read the article too. Fil gel man was joking when he made that remark. Or else, very insecure. |
