This is speculation. As far as I am concerned there is nothing that is disrespectful about speculating especially when it is now clear that the police are speculating the same thing! Does that mean that it is true.......NO! But if you are going to solve a crime you have to look at any possible scenario and then narrow it down! |
Yeah, I'm sure DCUM posters are going to solve the crime. ![]() |
Here's a news flash........I think you may have an anger issue! |
are you under the delusion that the police are the ONLY ones that solve crimes? |
Where's Encyclopedia Brown when you need him? |
Are you under the delusion that you are going to solve the crime on DCUM? |
Anger issue? On the contrary, I'd be laughing at the ridiculousness of the people on this thread if the issue weren't so horrifying. |
Haven't read all the posts but I don't understand why you all are arguing and name calling with each other so much.
People are fascinated with high profile crimes. Have you not googled the Kyron Horman case? Have you not tried to sleuth it out in your own mind? Did you never watch a detailed TV show on the OJ murder trial? No good pretending we aren't fascinated by crimes. One look at the local TV lineup and you can see the who dun its. Many of which are "torn from the headlines" - fictionalized but somewhere a real person was the victim. It's a DISCUSSION board. Where people trade ideas and insights. Useful or inane. If you don't like the topic, get off the thread. |
Here's why: people on DCUM always resort to insulting and blaming each other when they get upset. They like to claim that they are taking the high road while putting each other down. I guess it makes them feel better about themselves to try to prove there is something wrong with all of the other people. The main goal is to be right no matter what the issue. Maybe they think that they can somehow "win" a discussion if they never back down. Almost every controversial topic on this board will end in exactly the same way. |
My husband went to school with the victim. They were in the MBA program at JHU. He was devastated they had just been talking about their graduation in May. Last night they spend the first hour of class just talking about the victim mostly just remembering what an wonderful person she was. But, some classmates did bring up speculation that it was an "inside job". I think it’s normal to speculate especially when a crime this brutal hit so close to home. |
Please link to the article that states the police think it was an inside job. |
It's just so incredibly sad and there just don't seem to be answers forthcoming. Seems details come out that the police have not mentioned- hoping that does not jeopardize the investigation. |
For what it is worth, if some of you are offended by what is being speculated about on here, I think you would be horrified at what they are talking about on the other blog that was mentioned on here earlier. Link below: http://maryland.247sports.com/Board/56/Murder-on-Bethesda-Row-1414043/5
Granted, they have way less pages but they are men it looks like so they arent cutting on each other. It seems the whole world is wondering about this other victim and whether she was involved. So even though it is shocking to read it in print on here and think about the family possibly reading it too, it is expected. If I were the family of this surviving victim, we would have had a family meeting and already discussed the fact that people WOULD suspect her and that we would have to deal with it in some way or another. The way the facts lay out, there is bound to be some suspicion. Whether she did have anything to do with it will come out sooner or later. I was in Bethesda yesterday and saw the news crew there, the police chief ( I think) and the family. It was very sad and it made me wonder whether the guys who did this are walking around or interested in what has been discovered, what is being figured out. Scary stuff in a part of town where I have spent a lot of time. My husband and baby were at the Apple store getting Ipad2 in line for a few hours that night. They left the area at 8 ish and said it was very busy. We even have pictures of the line and the crowd of people. In some ways, it has occurred to us that even if they werent planning to rob people from the Apple Store, they certainly had a big crowd to sink into. There were so many people that night, it would be hard to remember anyone specifically, even with their description which is an odd one. |
There is no link that says the police think it is an inside job. It says that the possibility exists! They are speculating about everything as well. The woman named Brown said that as well as the police chief said they have considered that but at the moment there is no reason to believe that the victim had anything to do with it since she was also beaten and raped. Until they hear otherwise that is where they stand. |
If you haven't already, please send your pictures of the crowd and line to the police. |
