I lost my virginity against my will to a guy I dated a few months prior. I was in college and had way, way, way too much to drink that night. I woke up with him having anal sex with me. I couldn't move my body. I just cried. I honestly don't even remember if I said "no" outloud, or loud enough to be heard. The only person I have told is my husband. Because of this event over ten years ago, I struggle with sex that is ANYTHING but soft and romantic--so I'm not much of a vixen in bed I'm afraid because it makes me feel dirty (I'm working on it though!). I never told my mom or sister (who I tell everything) because blame myself and am so ashamed I didn't fight like hell. That happened at my 19th birthday party. |

There's a family rumor that my father raped his sister, but most of the family doesn't believe since he was supposed to have been working in a different state when it supposedly happened. My fathers family is split over who believes and who doesn't. |

| My mother, who passed away when I was 14, was physically and emotionally abusive. Nowadays she'd probably have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder or Bipolar II. Back then people just said she had a "strong personality" or was "high strung." Despite her failings I miss her every day of my life. |

DH found out at age 18 the man that raised him was not his father. His mother never told him that she was married for 10 years before he was born, and that his real father was her first husband.
When DH was 18, he received a call from a man stating he was DH's real father. He ended up meeting this man who had tons of baby photos and another birth certificate with a different last name. DH confronted his mother, and she denied it at first but she eventually caved. They had a paternity test done and it turns out the 1st husband was DH's biological father. Things between them are better now, but not sure why my MIL thought she could keep this a secret forever? |

I am 34 and my father abandoned me and my mother at 2 months old. I grew up in upstate NY but always knew he lived in DC. I never made an attempt to contact in the past because my mother always referred to him as my 'dirty rotten, no good father' and I grew up thinking he was horrid.
Now that I live in VA, I've done a search and found his address. I am fairly certain he has a daughter who also lives in DC. I also found this potential half sister on facebook (who looks a lot like me) and have tried to contact her but she does not respond. I try not to think to think about it but I'm 99% sure I have a half sister about 10 miles away. Sad situation. |
