This is what is known as a “push poll” and it’s crap. |
Lowest approval ratings ever. Least liked President ever. |
Wow! |
Not only is it a push poll, but it is a push poll conducted by a Trump pollster. |
Harris Insights is ranked 170 on 538. Poor poll transparency which was my first thought when I looked at their vague info about data collection and demographics. Poll data can and often is weighted, but if the initial poll demographics are poorly controlled and very skewed, the weight still does not help it. Excessive weighting to correct for poor sampling can really warp results (personal experience, used to work in survey research). |
American Research Group, which ranks a bit better on 538, had completely opposite findings to the Harris poll with 51% disapproval, 43% approval. |
Did the election teach us anything? Polls are a crock and most have an angle to spin. Not just that. The % of our population willing to reply is shrinking.
Who thinks it's a good idea to click on an unsolicited link that might give you malware? He!! to the naw, naw, naw. |
It may very well be a crap poll but it's safe to say that a majority of Americans do support the most if not all of the proposals in this particular poll. Trump’s methods of carrying out these proposals combined with his distasteful rhetoric are the cause of opposition and resistance from a growing number and soon to be majority of Americans. This is how a POTUS with generally popular common sense agendas can have a job approval rating in the 35% to 40% range as Trump did during his first term. At the rate his approval rating is sinking in his second term, he may wind up as unpopular as Carter was by 2028. |
Trump does not have “generally popular common sense agendas.” At all. |

A large majority of Americans approve of the job their postal workers, park rangers, NASA scientists, and CDC professionals do. They are significantly more popular than the President, Musk, and Congress. |
I know! Who knew push polls could be used to manipulate data and create outliers?!?’ |
