Ruth Igielnik Staff editor, polling Recent polls have shown President Trump’s agenda to be largely unpopular with the public. A majority of Americans expect his signature domestic policy bill will hurt the country, disapprove of his handling of the files in the case of Jeffrey Epstein, and oppose deporting undocumented immigrants to countries other than their own, according to a recent Quinnipiac Poll. And an increasing share of Americans think Trump is focused on the wrong priorities, according to a CNN/SSRS poll. Still, while the president’s job approval rating remains low, it has also been relatively stable over the last several weeks. |
Six months in…Trump is far less popular than he was when he was took office.

“Trump appears to be losing by winning. The more he does (including issues beyond his legislative wins), the more the general public, especially independents, shrug — or recoil.
One poll is meaningless. But a bunch of credible polls, showing the same thing, are worth paying attention to. And almost all of them show big majorities opposed to provisions of the "One Big Beautiful Bill" ... and harsh immigration crackdown ... and high tariffs ... and pardons for Jan. 6 convicts ... and wild improvisation with Russia. Buyer's remorse appears especially concentrated among Gen Z voters, whose extraordinary shift toward Trump in 2024 spawned existential panic inside the Democratic Party. Trump's net approval rating among 18- to 29-year-olds has plummeted to -40 since inauguration, down from roughly even, according to pollster G. Elliott Morris. In private, Trump gripes about not getting sufficient credit for defying expectations and historic norms. He's imposing his will on the nation — yet the media and even MAGA fixate on the blemishes. But what if his ideas are authentically unpopular?” https://www.axios.com/2025/07/23/trump-polling-six-months |

Trump is -37 on Epstein |
Leave gen Z females out of it I know plenty and they they were against Trump and they went out and voted about it. |
A president who was one of our three most unpopular presidents when serving a first term in his early seventies is not going to suddenly become a different person at 80 years old. Trump couldn't even garner at least 400 electoral votes or 50% of the popular vote when running against the last minute replacement candidate for an incumbent president who was also one of the three most unpopular presidents and to add to the weakness of his opponent; the last minute replacement candidate was also the VP of the very unpopular incumbent! Any nominee the GOP put forth prior to 2016 would have won the 2024 election with a Reagan-like landslide victory. Trump's 2nd term unpopularity was considered a given by political scientists. His presence as leader of the GOP party will hinder GOP candidates running in elections through at least 2028 just as it did during his first term. History repeating itself. Learn from it. |
DP there are a lot of female(gen z and the rest) who are all in on Trump, maga and hate filled rants. This is not just a male problem. |
When you lose my mothers bridge club…
Mid 70s UMC white women in a Southern State, all of them religious, probably 1/2 Catholic, 1/2 some version of Protestant. Prime Trump demo. And the things that did it for them… real ID paperwork screwups and potentially needing that paperwork to vote. Even with a passport, their new Real ID must exactly match the passport and SSa database. They are having to dig up 70 year old birth certificates, and 50 year old marriage licenses, and in several cases decades old divorce decrees and and remarriage certificates. And wait two months for an appt at the DMV. And being turned away and having to change their name with Social Security first, because their SS Card says First name, Middle name, Surname. And their drivers license or passport has first, maiden, surname, so they don’t match. And they must match, so name change with SSA (months for an appointment and a line), then a second appt and line at the DMV. At least two have missed cruises as a result of their paperwork not being identical. SSA is hours in line and months for an appt. DMV in their state is the same— with the line out the door into the sun. And my mother is like— I think Trump is trying to hurt women. Your stepfather doesn’t have to do this and we do. It’s wrong. (And they have gotten to the having to do it all again to vote after doing so for 60 years without issue phase yet). Of course, this is the first time Catholic/ religious women believe women are being unfairly targeted. And of course it didn’t matter to them until they were trying to find 50 years old documents and standing in lines for hours and navigating multiple appointments to get new IDs, when last year they flew on the old Id, no problem. But now it matters and they are pissed at Trump. Go figure. Not the straw I would have predicted to break the camels back. Except they are all so self centered, maybe I should have. If they don’t personally struggle, they ignore the struggles of everyone else. Their spouses are still maga, of course. But, he’s losing the wealthy white Southern Church Ladies. Because the policies hit them. Wait until their MDs start dropping Medicare patients…. |
Of course there are some young women who voted for Trump but the gender gap is cavernous in Gen Z. “About 56% of young men, a demographic Trump’s campaign was vocal about trying to woo, said they voted for the former president this year, a flip from the 56% who voted for Joe Biden four years ago. Young women, while overall favoring Harris, also took steps toward Trump, moving from 33% in 2020 to 40% in 2024.” https://now.tufts.edu/2024/11/12/young-voters-shifted-toward-trump-still-favored-harris-overall |
Ok so they are irritated, big deal. Would they actually vote for a democrat or are they just complaining about being put out for once in their lives? |
Old white people are basically the only group that voted more for Harris than Biden. Young people are turning to the right because globalism and open borders have utterly failed them. |
No different than what the patricarchy has bestowed on potential voters of color for several generation. |
Stupid women. They voted for this hot mess. |
