Same, only 2 hour is posted.

So the buses will finish their late es start drop offs and start the ms pickups.

My elementary kid is sad (had early release today: "That means no recess again?!"

Reid somehow picked the option that leaves the most people unhappy lol.

Admin are mad mad, teachers are mad, bus drivers are mad, students are mad- and not just because we don’t want to go to school. Unprecedented 3 hour ER creates a lot of after hours work and coordination for staff tonight.

7-8 years ago, there was snow during dismissal and fcps did not close early and dismissal was a disaster. For years, they would close for the smallest chance of snow. I vaguely remember older parents saying they don’t close early, only close full day.

Maybe history will repeat itself and fcps will not close early.

I *think* it was 10. It was a disaster and they really got raked over the coals for it. I remember it snowing so heavily when I took my kid to school and thinking "this is crazy that they are going to school." Two or three hours later, they told us to come back. It was bad. Unplowed roads, at least a foot of snow, buses way off any schedule or timing, kids waiting in school for hours because of it.

I’m going to bet tomorrow becomes a senior skip day…

Predict MS with most absences other than seniors!

Why?

Why? MS starts at 7:30, my kid will still get almost 4 hrs of instruction, this is pretty good. Now, I can understand that it’s a logistical nightmare for parents who don’t WFH or are not SAH.

Many just won't go. I don't see the point of sending my teenagers. It's going to be a chaotic day and they can access the material off Schoology and do their work from home.

He’s got a 3-hour recess at home.

So grateful that SACC will be open but feel sorry for the workers.

Teacher here - no word on what my schedule will look like. Based on how they’ve handled ER/delays before my lunch period class could be anywhere btwn 45 mins - 90 mins. Guess I’ll just show up and wing it!
