Snow Day next Tuesday?

I just did a first pass at shoveling our driveway and sidewalk. Seems like it was a good 3 inches and completely covered over by the time I was finished. And it's still coming down. In McLean.

I’m going with on time.

It depends on how cold it gets Wednesday night because we're supposed to get some type of precipitation. If it drops below 32, it'll be at least a delay if not a closure on Thursday. If it stays above (current projection), I would guess a delay or on time start for Thursday.

School is going to be closed a whole lot less now that the fed mommas are RTO.

Got 5+ inches so far. DH says roads(major ones) are a mess.

Do you think we will have school next week, due to the 2.5 inches that accumulated today?

Currently measured just over 5" in McLean, no plow in sight, still snowing. But, ok.

Late plowing seems to be the norm over the 15 years we’ve lived in our neighborhood. I would not be surprised at all if it doesn’t get plowed tomorrow.

This is the South (technically) - they won’t start plowing the neighborhoods and side streets until after the snow is over. I was actually at my IL’s in the Pittsburgh suburbs over the MLK day long weekend and they got some snow, and the plow came down their side street seemingly once an hour when it was still snowing! They’re not going to do that here unless you live directly on a main artery.

We had mid-snow plows in Vienna for the last storm a couple weeks ago.
