As if Republican idiots in Congress know more than California about wildfire mitigation. Everything Republicans are saying is stupid and irrelevant to these fires. They are all dumbasses who can’t even pass a budget without Democrats saving their asses every year. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid. You are wasting your life worshipping these morons. |
Answer: The State of California has to carry the dead weight in so many red states who are “net takers” from our treasury. So yes, California kicks your state’s ass from one side of the room to the other in every conceivable economic measure, but doesn’t enjoy the benefit of calling upon that war chest in an emergency - ‘cuz they already wasted it on you. You’re welcome, deadbeat. |
Please understand that Californians put out wildfires before they can spread all the time. They know how to do it. They are equipped and trained to do it. They put out wildfires in this same area two weeks ago. This time the winds were so insane that they were not able to stop the fires from getting out of control. Everyone with any role has been working nonstop through the whole fire season. These aren’t Republican Congressmen. They don’t sit on their asses doing nothing all year except say stupid shit about things they nothing about. |
Crappy politicians aren't exclusive to New York and California. You can find selfish and worthless Dem and GOP politicians in every state. They are everywhere and stupid people keep voting for them. |
No, it's a cultural thing. Both Californian and New Yorker politicians come across as arrogant to people from other areas of the country. |
Huh? Individuals/companies pay federal tax. We all pay the same no matter what state you live in. States tax at different rates. |
Biden is an arrogant piece of turd just like Trump and he is from Pennsylvania/Delaware so again, not exclusive to NY and California. |
See, I disagree. And he won the Presidency. |
How many wildfires have there been in Congress? |
Not sure what is so hard to grasp that the winds and bizarre drought/monsoon life is not the exception- it is the norm now. Maybe issue every Californian a mobile high pressure backpack extinguisher that they have to wear at all times based on fire risk. California funds crazier things - but maybe that is a start. |
We get it - you don’t understand how California can be both (1) the 5th largest economy in the world, and (2) lacking in sufficient funding because that 5th largest economy in the world is burdened by having to cover the shortfall of red states who cannot carry their own water. Not going to waste additional time explaining the balance of tax payments … |
One happy moment for man who found his dog alive

Yeah. Show me in the California budget where they pay federal taxes. Income, business and excise taxes. Selling land and park admission sure. The states do not write checks to the federal government. How did you get out of 6th grade? Do your parents know you are still awake? |
You are so right. We should all just watch and see how well California handles wildfire mitigation. |
OMG. Thank you for this post. I can totally relate to how this person feels about finding his beloved dog!! |
