I don't think the 100,000 people asking for Bass' resignation are mostly Republicans. They are Californians who want HONEST answers. |
. He will only win if at the bottom of the ticket, and paired w/AOC. She is the real deal, and the future of the Dems. |
AOC needs to join a new progressive party. There is no positive future in the GOP or Dems parties for someone her age due to their obsession with 78 year old unfit candidates. |
Posters have been endlessly posting that California has the fifth highest GDP in the world which begs the question why were state and local budges so stretched that they could not accommodate battling the uptick in crime as well as the uptick in fires. It's like the rich uncle at Thanksgiving tries to borrow $2,000 from the relative who was hurt in an industrial accident and lives on SSI. |
More likely Newsome will lose his pretty boy mind when AOC wins the Dem primary and picks someone with brains to balance the ticket. Newsome won't be it. |
House may have been built of fire proof material or retrofitted with that material. As you can see, it works. |
I hope you man that figuratively, not literally. |
Watch videos of the winds and the fires. It isn’t a money issue or a water issue or a truck issue or any of the other bullshit you deplorables keep saying. It’s a series of crazy out of control wildfires spreading rapidly over a huge area. And guess what? Unlike all the MAGA states, California is not begging the federal government to pay for everything. California is just saying that if you don’t give a shit about California just STFU and stop telling lies that misinformation the public and undermine the response and relief. |
During the many visits Bass made to Cuba in the 1970s, both Fidel and Raul were alive. |
Great - so 100 years we know that the climate is changing. Pretty sure that is enough time to adapt for "smart cities" or at least better fire management for high winds and swings in rainfall. Its not like fire started using ChatGPT or AI and all the sudden got smart. ...or maybe it did? Is Elon making Smart-Fire now......? That explains it. |
The I guess California won't mind when GOP Senators make sure any fire aid to California will have strings attached forcing the state to improve its resilience. |
The very last thing the pathetic Dem party needs to do is to lean on a politician from New York or California for their 2028 nominee. It would be as stupid as the GOP nominating a politician from Texas or Florida in 2028. This being said; anything can happen with these two awful parties and their moronic supporters. |
Sure. Adaptations to climate change and increased mitigation strategies are just what is needed. Can't build houses where huge fires are going to be more common due to more intense weather patterns. So glad the Republicans are finally recognize the need to prepare for our new environmental challenges! I'm sure they'll want to increase the funding for the EPA too. |
Agree. Neither Californian politicians nor NYC politicians have any idea how to talk to most US citizens. |
I am not a professional firefighter but I have dealt with an over zealous outdoor grill or firework gone astray. In my vast experience of fire control it is easier to put out when it is small. I have used a fire extinguisher, water and even stomped them out. I believe that is wild fire control 101 - react fast and contain before it turns into a Napalm like testing facility. As for MAGA states - Louisiana is about as red as they come and I recall quite a bit of debate after Katrina about NOT rebuilding New Orleans as it was below sea level, and actually next to the Gulf of Mexico which is kind part of the oceans that are rising due to climate change. Bashing leaders who fail their citizens does not make anyone MAGA or anything else....LA and California spend a lot of money on services of their choice that cost a lot of money - rethinking they may want to cut some of those services or raise taxes even more for better fire management is just logical, especially after this trainwreck display. |
