When millions of unvetted immigrants move into our country with no consequences, how can you think that's not basically an open border? |
Here you go xenophobes…
A recent study by the US Department of Health and Human Services has found an overwhelming positive fiscal impact stemming from the presence of refugees and asylees in the US. The report, The Fiscal Impact of Refugees and Asylees at the Federal, State, and Local Levels From 2005-2019, shows that refugees and asylees have generated $123.8 billion in net fiscal benefit to the US economy and government budgets, and have contributed more tax revenue than they cost the government over this 15-year period. |
Very timely article on the lies you try to promote https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/18/us/politics/trump-immigration-fact-check.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare |
Did you actually read the article? It also does not address class sizes and ELL populations at public schools. I live a quarter mile from Arlandria. I know what I see with my own two eyes every. single. day. |
This is what current immigrants do… A recent study by the US Department of Health and Human Services has found an overwhelming positive fiscal impact stemming from the presence of refugees and asylees in the US. |
People who think like you and throw out words like racist and xenophobe while defending what's happening are helping make it possible for Trump to win this election. |
+1 Same in Georgia |
IDGAF what this report says if the school my kid attends daily is overrun with ELL students. This is the disconnect. |
The same HHS that funds ways to provide Medicaid to illegals? Also I wonder the impact when that number is an order of magnitude more than the “refugees and asylees” from 2005-2019. The laws during that period actually made asylum seekers and refugees enter at points of entry and apply. There was no CBPOne app. Again, think what you think, but I hope you’ve pre purchased hours of therapy to assist with your trauma when Trump wins in 17 days. |
Yes, did you? The point is that there is a trend- supported by bigots like you- to blame every social ill on immigrants. And these claims are misleading and/or outright lies |
Any job you can think of, you horrid shrew. Gas station clerks, line cooks, janitors, factory workers, tree trimmers, etc. Everyone I grew up with was a blue collar worker. I don't know how much every single person was getting paid, I just know they weren't getting undercut by illegal alien, under the table labor. Consumers were willing to pay for their labor because -- wait for it -- they didn't have any other choice. You obviously have no idea what it's like to live in small town America. Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long. |
I grew up in a town with virtually no illegal immigrants. School kids worked at fast food restaurants or mowed lawns for money. All essential jobs managed to be done. There are still many communities in the US where native workers do these jobs, unlike here in Northern Virginia where illegals have pushed Americans out of jobs like working at fast food restaurants, lawn care and construction work. |
Democrats are for open borders. Any party that allows 6+ million illegal immigrants to walk into its borders uninvited and unvetted is for open borders. |
Illegal immigrants invading this country are a scourge. 58% of the country agrees and wants mass deportation. I hope the liberal, progressive bubble you must live in isolates you from us bigots. |
