Van Lifer couple camping in Utah national park - two weeks later fiancee arrives in FL alone

“For us, silence was not guilt, silence was the FBI telling us not to,” said Ms Laundrie.

I kind of agree to leave the sister out of it unless she shows she too is complicit.

How many of us have brothers/siblings who are a problem (hopefully not on a scale of BL)? Should we be held responsible for their behavior?

I feel so bad for them! Those protesters are jerks. “We can’t find Brian, so let’s attack his random sister.”

I feel bad for her because she didn't kill Gabby, she didn't ask for this, and her kids are suffering. But I'm also not certain she is divulging everything she knows. I feel like she might be holding back.

Agree. Also, “I haven’t talked to my parents” is a total cop out. Sounds like “I can’t talk to my parents because they might tell me something I’m not supposed to know.”

She is an accomplice. Our justice system is broken which leaves the public to carry out the slow torture, vigilante justice of making her life hell. If the family had not protected the killer, this would not be happening.

You are a sociopath. You don't know squat, and it's up to the investigators and law to determine.

The parents haven't done anything you nimrod. No one should be able or allowed to harass them.

She shouldn’t have to divulge anything to random people, and it’s absurd to interrogate her. She spoke with the FBI.

No kidding, we have some wack jobs on the board. It's common sense they don't need to talk to anyone except the FBI.

Cause of death: I think it's going to be that he strangled her. And then told his parents he didn't mean to kill her, but panicked when she ended up dead.

The sister and parents are sociopaths and criminals. I'm not a sociopath and I also know enough to understand that the investigators and the "law" won't do diddly squat, because women get murdered every day and their SOs get away with it. With family help in many cases.

Anyway it doesn’t matter now. She’s gone. All they can do is find him and deliver justice, hopefully to the parents too. Their behavior has been abhorrent and I pray somehow illegal.

I have to respectfully disagree w/this.
No, we cannot ignore the police body cam footage.
The police made many mistakes which should be analyzed.
This way corrections can be made so that no body is accused as an aggressor when they are in fact a victim.

I am in no way faulting any off the officers on scene for Gabby’s murder.
Far from it actually.
I am just faulting them for their incompetence in dealing w/a DV circumstance that they were out of their professional element.

If you acknowledge that the circumstance was out of their professional element, why do you fault them? The Monday morning quarterbacking is getting old. The run in with the police is only interesting insofar as it gives a peek into their whereabouts and demeanor on the road trip. The cops can be left out of it.

Not trying to be snarky (seriously!), but if that police body cam video was so irrelevant then why the heck was it released to the public then??

Who said the footage was irrelevant? The fact that it showed that their relationship had serious cracks is relevant.

To be more specific, I wonder what she spoke to Brian about at the campground. Surely she asked: Where is Gabby? Brian probably lied.

Right, like imagine the conversation

"Is Gabby coming?"
"Uh, no, she stayed out West with friends, and is coming home later."
"Oh, okay "

And the sister can't say Brian said anything like that because she's been told not to, by lawyers or police or whatever.

haha. It was probably released to the public to generate interest in the case. It most certainly was not released to the public to help armchair detectives and jurors determine Brian's guilt or innocence.

The parents didn’t report their future DIL missing for 11 days until her parents did. They also ignored all calls and texts from the parents during that time.

Honestly these are kind of the same thing, though.
