MAGA teen bused in from a Catholic school harasses Indigenous People's marcher. Vile.

You mean like black supremacists?

The behavior of the Covington kids and Kavanaugh will never be forgotten.

Again, no one has been able to articulate *what* these kids did that was so horrible!!

He STOOD there. In the same spot he'd been standing in, since before the NA man came up to him.

And that's bad because........? Why?

Is a person under some universal obligation to move when someone walks up to them and starts beating a drum in their face?

fundamentally, they came to DC to try to interfere with my right to control my body. and then acted like dumb jocks on the steps of the lincoln memorial, performed not only a disrespectful haka but also the tomahawk chop, THEN defended blackface. Covington Catholic = scum.

See. That is what this is about. Had they been wearing pussy hats the next day, they would be hailed as heroes.
Wrong day, wrong hat - in your opinion.

That's right - I would feel differently if they weren't here to take away people's rights. BTW the worst part is that the Cov Catholic boys probably have zero degree of adherence to Catholic doctrine on birth control and abortion.

You want to interfere with my rights, too, but I don't call you names.

You should try to be more tolerant of other opinions.

I don't want to interefere with anyone's right to bodily integrity and freedome. bullsh*t.

"I am ashamed that the actions of Kentucky Catholic high school students have become a contradiction of the very reverence for human life that the march is supposed to manifest. As such, I believe that U.S. Catholics must take a look at how our support of the fundamental right to life has become separated from the even more basic truth of the dignity of each human person."

"it astonishes me that any students participating in a pro-life activity on behalf of their school and their Catholic faith could be wearing apparel sporting the slogans of a president who denigrates the lives of immigrants, refugees and people from countries that he describes with indecent words and haphazardly endangers with life-threatening policies."

He never explains what "actions" of the students he is ashamed of. Seems his big beef is that they were wearing MAGA hats.
I don't remember him drafting a similar letter of condemnation as children donned vagina hats and such when their mothers took them to the Women's March.

Here is a piece about what John Stowe gets wrong: https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/01/covington-catholic-kids-bishop-john-stowe-unjustly-condemns/

Have you seen any of the videos? If your kid was in the crowd, you'd be proud of that behavior?

Not saying it's the worst thing in the world, but it's certainly shameful behavior on such a day in such a place. It wasn't a pep rally before a basketball game. Of course, then they'd be in blackface...

You know.... if they were actually in the memorial building, I think you would have more of an argument. Cheering in the memorial building is not appropriate. But, they weren't. They were at the foot of the steps waiting for their bus.
And, yes, I watched several of the videos. And, the kids were cheering to drown out the hateful words of the Black Hebrew Israelites. An appropriate thing to do given their smears, language, and insults.
Had my son been present, I would have had no problem at all with the behavior I saw.

Even the kid who ripped off his shirt? That’s telling.

They were in a public place with other people after a presumably-solemn event. They were obnoxious and out of control.

Write it down on your little list. Keep it safe!

I definitely won't be forgetting either response. Nor will anyone I know. It's truly unforgettable.

Well, if we're making comparisons about "DC very frequently deal with" then lets turn to students.
Why is the Covington Catholic kids [b]worst[/] on-a-field-trip behavior while being verbally assaulted; still much better than the average in class behavior in the DC school system?

Imagine if the small groups of BHI and NA started taunting a group of about 100 DC school kids....

They were responsible for the boys and let them enter and remain in that situation. They should have steered clear of BHIs. They should have shut down DB behavior.

What, exactly, did these boys do that has offended your delicate sensibilities? No one has been able to get beyond, "But he *SMIRKED*!!"
-They were standing in a group, waiting for their ride, removed from the bigoted bhi (what an insult to true Hebrew Israelites, btw), watching from a distance as the a-hole bhi (not deserving of capitalization) spewed their hatred.
-Phillips decided for some unknown reason - need for attention? drama? - to insert himself into the middle of their group, fixated on the one boy.
-The boy quietly stood his ground and did nothing more than maintain eye contact with Phillips (and smile! the nerve!) as Phillips banged his drum right in his face, in the boy's personal space.

I can definitely see why you're so outraged.

Of course! Don't you know that if you're white, and a POC color deliberately comes into your personal space, it is incumbent upon YOU - the white person - to yield and make way. If you stand your ground, and especially if you keep a pleasant expression on your face, you are beyond disrespectful. That kid should have moved on over immediately, wiped the smile from his face, and apologized to Phillips for even breathing the same air. The nerve.

fundamentally, they came to DC to try to interfere with my right to control my body. and then acted like dumb jocks on the steps of the lincoln memorial, performed not only a disrespectful haka but also the tomahawk chop, THEN defended blackface. Covington Catholic = scum.

SO TRUE. I can't even believe the number of idiots who decided a pussy hat was appropriate in any circumstances. And I'm pro-choice.

Wearing MAGA hats at the March For Life definitely gives some insight into these people.

Just as wearing pussy hats and vagina costumes at a "women's march" gives insight into those people.

From the article:

To put it bluntly: They were 16-year-olds subjected to verbal racist assault by grown men; and then the kids were accused of being bigots. It just beggars belief that the same liberals who fret about “micro-aggressions” for 20-somethings were able to see 16-year-olds absorbing the worst racist garbage from religious bigots … and then express the desire to punch the kids in the face.

THIS.

With this, I honestly don’t think another word can be said that adds anything. It is done.

Except he watched the wrong the video.

https://vimeo.com/312411257

That video shows quite clearly that Phillips is fixated on Nick Sandman for some peculiar reason. I thought Sandman handled himself quite well under a very bizarre circumstance not of his own making. What, exactly, should he be apologizing for? He did nothing to Phillips, or anyone else.
