What was the "mistake?" Standing still while an activist/protester beat a drum in your face?
Being attacked all over social media for doing nothing terrible?
Death threats because you wore a hat?
Having fellow classmate--who was not even in DC "doxed" on twitter by a middle school teacher in Colorado?

Remember, Phillips went on CNN and lied--said the kids were saying "build the wall." Turns out he also lied about service in the Marine Corps and Vietnam. But, the kid is not entitled to defend himself?

So, if you are Native American, you are allowed to attack young kids, go on television and lie, and try to disrupt mass. If you are a "Black Hebrew" you are allowed to throw out racial slurs at kids?

Isn't this the definition of racism? When you are treated "differently" because of your race?

I agree with you SO much, but there's no sense arguing with these leftists. They can't see past their own bigotry, which dictates that whenever there's an encounter between white people and minority people, they will always focus their condemnation on the whites, even if the minority is an adult and the whites are kids, and even if the minority behaved significantly worse (and the white kid was surprisingly composed).

The fact that the thread title, making the white kid look at fault, is allowed to stand attests to that.

Some of the people posting here are being fed by the left-wing media. MSNBC is pretty much still blaming the kid for anything that happened. And, Jonathan Capehart wrote what I think is a ridiculous opinion piece two days ago... again, blaming the kid. No mention of the fraud, Nathan Phillips or the hate group, BHI.
Most of the other networks have been forced to see reality. Wouldn't be surprised if MSNBC was included in lawsuits against some of the people spreading false information.

Sorry. I don’t watch tv news. I’ve only commented based on what I’ve seen in the various videos.

The BHIs were terrible.
The kids were obnoxious and not supervised.
The chaperones sucked.
NP wasn’t horrible but should have left them alone.

Not a good day for any of them.

Why is the media allowed to lie?

Ask FoxNews.

For that matter, ask Trump. Why do they think it’s ok to lie?

The behavior of the Covington kids and Kavanaugh will never be forgotten.

Again, no one has been able to articulate *what* these kids did that was so horrible!!

He STOOD there. In the same spot he'd been standing in, since before the NA man came up to him.

And that's bad because........? Why?

Is a person under some universal obligation to move when someone walks up to them and starts beating a drum in their face?

fundamentally, they came to DC to try to interfere with my right to control my body. and then acted like dumb jocks on the steps of the lincoln memorial, performed not only a disrespectful haka but also the tomahawk chop, THEN defended blackface. Covington Catholic = scum.

See. That is what this is about. Had they been wearing pussy hats the next day, they would be hailed as heroes.
Wrong day, wrong hat - in your opinion.

Wearing MAGA hats at the March For Life definitely gives some insight into these people.

Just as wearing pussy hats and vagina costumes at a "women's march" gives insight into those people.
- a pro-choice woman who wouldn't be caught dead in either

Why do you hate vaginas so much?

Why do you thinking grabbing them is acceptable, but saying “don’t grab mine” is not?

"Hate vaginas"? Hardly. The difference is, I don't define myself solely by my genitalia, the way so many of you seem to. And where did I say that grabbing them is acceptable? Don't put words in other people's mouths.

Because they're threating my fundamental rights.

No one is threatening your fundamental rights, moron. And I'm pro-choice. Everyone's allowed to express their POV, including March for Lifers.

Oh that’s good to hear. So Catholics/conservatives/GOP are no longer fighting against abortion rights? PHEW.

So, to be clear: you're saying that anyone who disagrees with you has no right to express their viewpoint? Only you and people who think like you? Seems you might be happier in another country. Say... China? Russia?

Because stuff like this gets out.

The mainstream media all did their parts and steadfastly refused to mention any word of this, despite this Nathan Phillips incident from last Friday leading the news cycle every day this week. All the talk this week was about the "confrontation" with the high schoolers from Kentucky on Friday. Not a single mention anywhere - even from Phillips himself - of this other incident the very next day.

It was universally suppressed by the media.

But thanks to the 'web, it still got out. After a week.

This is why they need to control the internet. They have to get back to being able to control the information the public can get. It's the only option they have.

Yet another example of do what I say, not what I do in the church.

That is violation of non-profit restrictions. It should lose their non-profit status.

https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/charities-churches-and-politics

“Currently, the law prohibits political campaign activity by charities and churches by defining a 501(c)(3) organization as one "which does not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office.’”

"Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig; es ist nicht einmal falsch!" -Wolfgang Pauli

- Trump is not a candidate. His is now a public official.
- Campaign is over. Trump won. MAGA hats are no longer campaign "activity" they are "memorabilia".

Identical to how when Obama won, DC sold tourists "HOPE" or "Yes We Can" t-shirts,
and every Democratic associated non-profit who traveled to DC bought them for the trip.

However, a good reminder that now that Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren have declared,
ANY nonprofit that purchases their merchandise will have internet-sleuths challenging their 501(c)(3) status.

Liar.

Trump officially filed for re-election with the Federal Election Commission on Jan. 20, 2017, the day of his inauguration.

Oh look, you can buy those hats on his campaign website:
https://www.donaldjtrump.com

https://shop.donaldjtrump.com/collections/headwear

THE KIDS BOUGHT THE HATS FROM STREET VENDORS.

They were there representing their school.

Take away their non-profit status.

Wow. You will literally not stop until these kids are tarred and feathered in the court of (crazy) public opinion, will you? You must be exhausted from your obsession with them.

Yes. The name of the thread should be: Confrontation on steps of Lincoln Memorial leads to false assumptions. But it won't be.

Well... if you think Sandmann's behavior was "bad," you must have been simply appalled by the behavior or Nathan Phillips, his fellow Native American friend who yelled at the teens and the Black Hebrew Israelites.

Yep. But they're not. They excuse that behavior because... well, POC are entitled to do that.

Agree. You'd think the real story here would be about the vile hate speech spewing from the black "Israelites". And yet, that's largely been ignored. Typical.

You seem to have missed the point entirely. That's basically why PPs are being so hateful toward them. Because they are white, male, and Catholic. I mean, seriously - is there another reason to be so incredibly outraged by their behavior? Nope.
