I will never look at Dog as any form of the word “Hero.” Because he was convicted of murdering another person, he definitely has a checkered past. (To put it mildly.) I doubt that he can do anything at this point to redeem himself. He likely is getting involved with the Laundrie case to be relevant. There had been some negativity discussed about how little time after his wife, Beth’s death that he was in another relationship. And which led to where he is today, a married man.
Sure, it is sad that he also lost a child but he really should not be getting accolades for all he is doing. It would have been better if he helped the FBI under the radar. The publicity he is receiving may affect the integrity of the search. I read today that a man in S. Carolina claims he ran into Brian as late as this Saturday. He claims that Brian claimed he was trying to get to CA to see his girlfriend. He seemed disoriented and confused according to this witness. He stated that Brian was driving a light-colored truck and was sporting a black bandanna on his head. Could this man, the witness be legit?? Or just a game hog?? |
| *fame, NOT game |
| It's kind of shocking to me with the publicity this case has had, that Brian still hasn't been found. Is it that easy to stay under the radar with the whole country keeping an eye out for you? How is he pullig that off? |
| Really very few people are “on the look out” for him. Frankly I don’t get the fascination with this case. Another boyfriend kills girlfriend, tale as old as time. |
Because he is like the most generic looking white dude ever. And it's been long enough that people have forgotten about him. |
+100 Also due to his male pattern baldness he doesn’t even look the correct age of any basic description of him. |
Have you seen a picture of Dog? He can't do anything under the radar. |
| I think a lot of people are secretly rooting for him, not be sure they like him but because they want to see a small fish escape all the big fish... |

Brian Laundrie is so (in)famous now - that his name was even referenced last night of SNL.
Pete Davidson was dressed as Dog The Bounty Hunter & asked “Do you guys know where Brian Laundrie is?” Also > on the Weekend Update segment, Gabby’s case was subliminally referenced that cases where the people involved are white get more media coverage vs. people of color. Then a black woman was shown, who apparently was “missing” for ten years. It was a funny skit, but it felt inappropriate to me. It seemed to be parodying the Gabby Petito case….. |
+1. I think people are overestimating what police are able to do under the law in this situation. They both identified her as the primary aggressor. The police actually had to do some working around the situation so they wouldn’t be required, by law, to arrest her. Of course, in this situation, we can look back and wish he was arrested but our laws (rightly) require more than the information both parties gave to arrest him. |
I'm not sure I agree with this. I work on a suicide hotline, and we often use taking a hot shower as a coping tool. It's more about staying safe for the moment, escalating an intense feeling than a long-term fix. I agree that DV experts or a social worker should be part of these kind of calls, but I don't think a hot shower was a bad suggestion. What do you have in mind? Xanax/a trip to the doctor or...? |
To label the primary aggressor the person who appeared to have the least physical injuries on their person just seemed a bit misdirected to me. The police on the scene reiterated that it was Brian that had the marks - not Gabby should have not had as much impact on their decision whatsoever. Sure, Brian had tangible physical injuries than Gabby did, but emotionally Gabby was the most broken. Abuse comes in different forms & they are not always so tangible. I had heard an officer tell Brian (when Brian had joked about going to jail) that he “did nothing wrong.” Verbatim. This after knowing that at least ONE witness had reported actually seeing Brian strike Gabby earlier in the same day. |
I cannot see your point here PP. The officer seen in the police cam footage suggesting that Gabby take a shower was a poor example of what to tell a distraught woman, out alone on a desert road. In other situations, I can see how it might be looked at as a good, temporary solution since hot water has the ability to calm someone down mentally. By the way, the officer had no business disclosing that his wife suffered from anxiety issues & was taking medication to control it. If I were his wife - I would be so livid knowing my husband disclosed this private matter w/a complete stranger. I think a young, beautiful girl 100% on her own going to take a shower in a public place could be dangerous because there could be some random sicko in the area who sees that she is traveling alone and potentially follow her. The area is obviously dangerous as two women were shot in the area the next day for instance. |

My whole family has eyes like this. When I lived in Europe many many years ago, I was told that I had Eastern European eyes. Makes sense, my family is from Slovakia. |
