The interview succeeded at providing mitigating evidence for any perceived difficulties from Meghan in terms of how she treated her staff. Seems plausible that a woman on the edge might be curt with those she perceives as being unhelpful or obstructionist.

The fact that you think there is no HR apparatus in the Firm is kind of risible.

Americans are really poorly-informed about the relationship between the family and the Firm. They are not contiguous. The Firm is a business.

Obviously they is a HR apparatus for those members who work for the family and help advise it. But there is no HR for the family itself.

You don’t have HR as part of a family. She was expecting to have access to it as a “working royal”—via her role in the business. I doubt any of us who haven’t worked in that business has a clear grasp of whether that was a reasonable expectation or not.

that does seem hard to believe but if life is really that controlled inside to the point of medical services being dictated - moving on is very understandable.

Archie didn't have security before stepping away. As an infant, he is mostly with his parents. But as he aged this would be an issue.

There was an incident during their Africa tour. The parents were at an event and baby was with a nanny. This is the incident that sealed their decision to leave. They were in Canada soon after.

It seems more plausible that she didn’t want the local help they were offering. She probably wanted in-patient treatment in Malibu or some non-UK locale, and they said it wasn’t possible (security, cost, press).
