Meghan Markle and Prince Harry News and Updates Part 2

Archie didn't have security before stepping away. As an infant, he is mostly with his parents. But as he aged this would be an issue.

I'm curious to see how they react/defend themselves. Really curious to see if staff loyal to one or the other will leak to the press in defense of their person. IOW, will we see some kind of jockeying between the two houses to not get pegged with the single most damaging revelation of the interview. (Meghan said revealing the identity would be very damaging, so I think that pretty much limits the possibilities to Charles or William, as no one would be surprised if Phillip said it.)

It may have been both. In the interview with Oprah this morning I don't think she implied it was just 1 person. William says moronic things all the time that get overlooked because the focus is on bashing Harry. Charles is seems dimwitted enough if he were not royal he would not make it in the world and hold down a decent job.

Harry thought it was funny to wear a Nazi uniform and was naked in a Vegas hotel room with strippers.

Has it not occurred to you that Harry’s wearing a Nazi uniform was a passive aggressive way of calling out his family? Many members have very close ties to Nazis, some of the relations *were* Nazis, SS officers.

It’s obvious that Harry’s justified resentment over how his mother was treated and how her death was handled profoundly impacted him. Seems to me that on some level - maybe unconsciously- he was acting out against the family in engaging in some of those youthful indiscretions.

This is such a reach it's beyond laughable. He was an ignorant pampered young man moving in circles where this was thought to be hilarious.

Most humans do want to eat their cake. Not just stare at it and admire it's beauty.

It totally was not that. OMG. He admitted he was insensitive after. Euros are incredibly racist...and I was at a Royal wedding prior and seated with some and as Americans quite appalled. Nordic country.

I’m not sure if Meghan was that mentally ill while pregnant her OB wouldn’t have found her appropriate care. I understand that HR is a thing with the BRF but emailing HR instead of working with ones dr seems off.

If he was old enough to school they would have refused to pay for it.

This is bullshit. Archie is the great grandchild of the Monarch. No great grandchildren have princely titles. That is how it is. When they become grandchildren of the monarch - when Charles ascends to the throne - they will get security.

Right.....but this thinking is completely outdated. We live in an age of social media radicalization and extremism. Where radicals plot violence on apps and can act on it in a matter of days.

That child has very real security needs TODAY. Not when Charles ascends to the throne. Now.

This is just one instance where the BRF as an institution refuses to face reality.

And anyone who can afford to buy a $20 Million house can afford private security guards instead of mooching off of granny.

They certainly could have "settled" for a perfectly lovely $5 million house, with ample left for security etc., but they really do want to have their cake.

Is it your money?

I'm not the one whining about being financially cut off in my mid-30s when I don't care to work.

Yes, I think the money issue is very off-putting to many.

There's really no getting around this point. If money hadn't been a clear factor, I think they'd garner more sympathy.

Oprah used this lying woman and she’s too dumb to see it.

Oprah did not buy it. Her mannerisms and tone were telling that she was not buying it.

Human Resources? Really? That was when it had completely flown the coop.

My 15-year old son said "she went to see Toby?". I spit my drink out on that one. We had just finished the entire Office series.

The fact that you think there is no HR apparatus in the Firm is kind of risible.

Americans are really poorly-informed about the relationship between the family and the Firm. They are not contiguous. The Firm is a business.

I am a Fed and I wouldn't go to HR about my mental illness, even if it were job stress.

The 'Toby' thing was funny.

That doesn’t mean HR doesn’t exist. And, TBH, unless you have had job stress make you suicidal, you don’t really know what you would do.

+100 equivalent to a dumb Southern frat boy in black face.

Do they cry and claim they were suicidal after they put down the fork, though?

Obviously they is a HR apparatus for those members who work for the family and help advise it. But there is no HR for the family itself.

Let’s be transparent, Archie was covered under his father’s umbrella. There was no immediate security concern.

Omg this is so true.

100%

Their relationship was lightning quick...and since she had a 'past' they were all very concerned.

Based on how things played out, it seems like those with concerns were right to have them.
