Yes, the venom with which some posters "hit back" against Jews offended by what they see as antisemtitism is really telling, isn't it? It's sort of proving my point that there is a terrible double standard when it comes to bigotry against blacks, and bigotry against Jews.

Throughout this thread, we see how many liberals will twist and turn to find a way to interpret White's actions in the best light possible. All sorts of rationalizations and defenses, all basically boiling down to: Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. 1) The only thing I object to as far as criticism of Soros is that he was blamed as a child for helping Nazis. Is that what you're talking about? From what I've read, he did not actively assist them and I do not hold him responsible.

No one is co-opting or hiding behind the struggles of African-Americans. The Jews have faced the same thing in their history and it is taught in their homes and synagogues on a daily and weekly basis to never forget and to always stick up for those being persecuted and treated unjustly. In the US, that has been African-Americans since the founding of the country. You may not want to believe it, but the ties between Jews and say the NAACP and the Jews and Civil Rights leaders and the Jews and non-profits that do work in communities of need has been long-standing.

Your sister was at least allowed into a country club , thanks in no small part to the fact she could attempt to pass off as white, Anglo or whatever . Diminishing antisemtism by downplaying the horrors of not only the Holocaust but the 3,000 years of Jewish persecution, murders, slavery, you name it, and chalking up Jews' response to antisemtitsm as a persecution complex. Can you imagine if Jews said that blacks need to stop with their persecution complex? It would rightly be called racist.

And I still haven't heard the PP acknowledge my point how Jews were often the only ones in 1940s NYC who were willing to hire blacks. All this venom against a people who tried - and did! - help black people.

Just out of curiosity, how much difference do you see between conspiracy theories about the Rothschilds and conspiracy theories about George Soros? 1) The only thing I object to as far as criticism of Soros is that he was blamed as a child for helping Nazis. Is that what you're talking about? From what I've read, he did not actively assist them and I do not hold him responsible.

2) I notice, though, that you turned this around to put me on defensive - a liberal tactic - without responding to my point at all. Do you not agree that you and other posters are insisting we give White the benefit of the doubt, while you assign the most negative motivations to Jews like me who are appalled by him? You said on one post that we "can't access White's brain" to know what he really feels, yet you accused me of not caring about antisemtism - you know nothing of my childhood and what I experienced, including being kicked out of a car and made to walk home when the driver found out I was Jewish* - and said that I'm using this issue as a tool to drive strife between blacks and Jews. Are you willing to acknowledge that you can't "access my brain" and were wrong in saying I don't care about antisemtitism?

* In case youre interested, same thing happened to my sister, after a round of golf. She apparently let it slip she was Jewish, and she ended up having to "schlep" home with a bag full of clubs. So don't say I don't really care about antisemitism. Of all the things you've ever said to me, that's the worst.

Your sister was at least allowed into a country club , thanks in no small part to the fact she could attempt to pass off as white, Anglo or whatever . African Americans have had no such privilege which proves undoubtedly why attempting to always compare yourselves to AAs in such matters is beyond dishonest and stupid .

The problem was that it was a country club that didn't allow Jews, you idiot! My sister went as a guest and didn't know that.

There are Black Country clubs too, you know, just as there are Jewish ones. They were both created in response to "closed" clubs that didn't allow Jews or blacks. The comparison of bigotry against Jews and blacks is valid, and your insistence that it is not continues to reveal your resentment toeard Jews.
