It's the indifference to antisemtism, the call for patience and understanding in the face of repeated infractions, and the excuse-making - compared to the attack and negative motives upon Jews who are upset about it.

Your insistence on camparing yourselves to African Americans,  coopting ans hiding behind their  struggles ( past and present )  makes you lose more sympathy than you think , your persecution  complex just doesn't jibe with reality no matter what you try to tell yourself [/quote]

No one is co-opting or hiding behind the struggles of African-Americans. The Jews have faced the same thing in their history and it is taught in their homes and synagogues on a daily and weekly basis to never forget and to always stick up for those being persecuted and treated unjustly. In the US, that has been African-Americans since the founding of the country. You may not want to believe it, but the ties between Jews and say the NAACP and the Jews and Civil Rights leaders and the Jews and non-profits that do work in communities of need has been long-standing.

+ 1 And  that is the "soft" form of antisemtism I'm talking about again. Diminishing antisemtism by downplaying the horrors of not only the Holocaust but the 3,000 years of Jewish persecution, murders, slavery, you name it, and chalking up Jews' response to antisemtitsm as a persecution complex. Can you imagine if Jews said that blacks need to stop with their persecution complex? It would rightly be called racist.

And I still haven't heard the PP acknowledge my point how Jews were often the only ones in 1940s NYC who were willing to hire blacks. All this venom against a people who tried - and did! - help black people. [/quote]
