If the OP was a legitimate and recognized partner she could scream from the highest hilltops when worried but she's a side chick so she has to stay quiet. If she makes any calls or inquires its likely that whistle gets blown on the whole thing. She's a side chick she can't call anyone at best she can Facebook his uncle and feign general curiosity about this guys whereabouts then cross her fingers and anxiously wait for him to call.

Or another normal explanation is that she is worried but doesn't yet want to ring every alarm. Understandable. Doesn't mean their relationship is illegitimate.
When I'd been dating a man for 6 months I didn't have his friends phone numbers either.

Did you know where he worked? The name of the actual company?

That doesn't mean you can contact him there.

You notice how the OP only divulges information when her credibility is in question? Classic side chick behavior.
The missing boyfriend probably trained her well on what to do in crisis situations when they might get caught - "give as little information as possible and only explain something when absolutely necessary but whatever you do STICK TO THE LIE!!"

Bobcat season (illegally). It is, however, gray squirrel season as someone helpfully pointed out.

Not sure why, but this made me LOL.

I'm pretty sure if you called one of the higher-ups and said, "My boyfriend is MISSING IN MAINE" they would take it seriously.

OP here: just got off the phone with my friend who is a cop and he said my only two options really are to call the police where he lives and say I'm worried and see if they will go check out his house or to try and file a missing persons report.

I'm about to look up phone numbers for his uncle and aunt and see if I can get any hits with that.

& yes, I do know his moms name to the person asking again and again but that's not gonna get me anywhere. His uncle would be the first person he would contact in an emergency followed by his other uncle and then grandfather.

I'm gonna see what I can find for phone numbers and go from there.

I think it's no more nuts than the story of illegal bobcat hunting, not knowing the name of his parents/friends/company name. I do think she's a Mafia girlfriend, though. I'm glad I didn't give her a burner email to get his actual name. I don't need the Mob showing up at my door.

I would be in the car driving to his house by now, OP. I would have actually gone yesterday. Good luck.

Right, the inevitable "cop friend" - WHY DON'T YOU GO TO HIS HOUSE or call in a wellness check?

Or do you not know his address?

You are either a) a willful dingbat or 2) a troll.

hes been missing 48 hours now. call the police now and find numbers to his family next. what are you waiting for to call the cops to check his house?

they will probably ask you questions asked in here like where does he work and have you tried there. either way, call the cops first

Damn and I thought side chicks in the same city as their secret lovers had it rough...OP is four hours away! Something happens and she's totally in the dark about it.
Four hours away geez how often do they get together? Is it even worth it being a side chick having a fraction of a relationship with him and forced to keep it secret? Why not just dump dude and find somebody in your own zipcode heck its only been 6 months.

Because she doesn't ask questions about what he's hunting in early April or any questions about his "animal hauling."

I find it hard to believe you are not able to obtain a phone number for ANYONE he knows.

Do you know his address, OP? If so, and if you aren't totally full of it, google the neighbors and call and ask if his car is there or if they've seen him. Or just drive there - not doing that makes NO sense.

We're losing patience with you, OP.
