Plenty of Indians I know voted for Trump. |
The foreign workers who come in are also given housing. This affects rental rates. A two bedroom apartment in a high tech area is $6,000 plus. Corporations don’t blink but Americans being pushed out due to unaffordable rents sure do. |
Why hate on illegal immigrants who do hard labor for peanuts? |
The definition of this visa includes fashion modeling as a special carveout. |
Do we have a dearth of pretty fashion models in the US that we had to import one from Eastern Europe? So, Americans are stupid, lazy, and ugly, per Elon and Trump. We need to import more H1 workers. It's a great program. Not only does Trump's company use them, he personally benefited by not only marrying an H1 visa holder, but his second election was also finance by a visa holder. H1 visa -- Making Trump Great Again. LOL |
This is so rich
https://bsky.app/profile/patriottakes.bsky.social/post/3lekkzl6fvk2s MAGAs have been sold out. Trump will do some performative round ups in a couple of blue cities, but other than that, nothing will change, except a flood of even more immigrants. |
No. There are 2 things raising the rents in areas like SF: 1. Fixed property taxes and fixed rents so people stay in the area long after they would normally have moved on. 2. Rich foreign people - mostly from China - buy up properties in desirable areas of California and don’t even lease out the property, just let it sit there vacant (no hassles for them that way), to park their money away from the Chinese government. Higher demand, lower supply means higher prices. |
Weird that they would vote for him based on the previous views of his administration from Miller, Bannon and Trump himself where they said they wanted to severely restrict H1-B visa programs. Indians must be breathing a sigh of relief that he now seems to be changing course on that because Elon wants more foreign workers. |
I am an Indian American who voted for Harris, however, I don’t understand your point that “Indians must be breathing a sigh of relief”. Why and what made you reach this racist conclusion? I know plenty of Indian Americans who don’t support H1-B or support it only minimally. There are PLENTY of Indian Americans that work in sectors other than technology, we have no dog in the H1-B fight. Like rest of the Americans we also worry that our kids won’t have a decent shot at good paying wages jobs. People like me believe in worker protections and I truly believe America needs to invest in its workforce by investing in our own talent but you are too eager to brand every non white person as someone who is too eager to sellout America, whereas the truth is that a White person is conducting the sale right now. |
Musk showed trump that his could win the presidency for him and his money could take the presidency from him. Forget all the bullshit conspiracy theories you had about putin. Musk's influence on trump is real. |
In this area, a lot. The overt anti-asian racism (particularly against brown asians) by the liberals was pretty hard to ignore. |
Because they are here illegally. They are not here because we need more low paid workers, we have more unskilled Americans than we have unskilled jobs. Poor black people are pretty anti-illegal immigrant in large part because it's their jobs being taken |

Yes, we have a dearth of models willing to work for what models make at the beginning of their career. |
