My experience has been that the visa holders are not paid much less than the Americans would be. It may be the case that the company could fill the position if they paid double the salary, but right now that isn’t happening and the position stays vacant instead.

That's not the policy that the GOP and Trump won on, they won because the GOP said immigrants need to go home.

Give the visas to the companies that are paying the highest salaries to these workers. That ensures you are bringing in the most needed employees and not cheaper replacements.

Companies abuse other visas like L1, supposed to be for managers. They get paid a few thousand dollars a month, possibly in rupees.

A government agency TVA(Time variance authority) fired a number of workers and brought in people on this visa, possibly trained by the soon to be fired workers.

Trump kept firing board members of TVA until they rehired the American workers.

But Musk is saying H1s are great, so now Trump is toeing that line and saying that it's great, and he even uses it.

I don't think MAGA understand that Musk basically bought the presidency.
