I never heard any rumor about Sir, what is it?

The fans who bought the vinyl said the track My Rose is titled My Sir on their records.

I think it's the CD version, not the vinyl.

I've heard 3 songs off the album (texas hold em, bodyguard and the one with miley cyrus) and hated them all. I actually thought miley sounded great but beyonces voice is just not doing it for me in this genre.

I love Beyonce but don’t feel like her voice fits the genre even though her background, having roots in Texas and Louisiana, seems a good fit for country music.

I like her cover of blackbird, Texas hold em, and II most wanted.

Country music is country music! And it doesn't come from wannabees. Just because you carry a lot of $ and your name is known DOES NOT mean you step across to my side of the sidewalk! Yuck!!!!

Dolly seems to like her just fine. Of course she's not Dolly Parton! She's her own person!

I quite liked the album actually and it was kind of definitely NOT a country album although a lot of country influences. The Miley song is great.

I just listened to Beyonce's version of "Jolene" and I don't like it. The lyrics are reworked to be empowering or threatening or something. Beyonce might've produced the best version of the song ever (and this song has been covered extensively) if she kept the lyrics as originally written. Whitney Houston covered "I Will Always Love You" and turned a beautiful song into a masterpiece. Beyonce missed an opportunity, imo.

Just read Bee’s lyrics. Who would want Jat-z. He is not good looking.

A lot of women would want JayZ.
It's not always about looks. He seems like a great conversationalist and he has swag.

He doesn’t get women without forcing them with blackball. He’s the Harvey Weinstein of music. It will all come out in the wash.

Rih and others suffered . Beyonces a typical southern woman. Blaming other women as hussies when they are victims. She’s a victim herself but she doesn’t know it

Back off Dolly and Jolene! Beyonce cannot compete with Queen Dolly!

She and hubs are somehow involved with this whole Diddy mess. Mark. my. words.

This.

Curious if anyone else feels this way: it feels like clickbait to me. I feel like they sat down and discussed where the cultural tension was greatest and therefore where attention would be highest and chose country. I feel somehow manipulated by it, which feels for music - kind of like a miss. I get it, same thing that artists have done for eons, like lil nas x. But he was subverting for different reasons and it was one song. It just all feels a bit contrived to me.

I asked something similar a few pages ago: does it feel authentic or a persona like Larry the Cable Guy.

To me it feels like a persona, definitely contrived for reasons other than artistic expression.
