+1 “The greatest lie country music ever told was convincing the world that it is white.”

I had to google who this was and I can’t imagine he’s had any actual relevancy in 40 yers so who effing cares. But sure, let’s pretend some old a$$ past-his-prime, and never that important in his prime white man matters.

Anytime Beyoncé does something, I’m like, “BUT WHAT DOES THAT GUY FROM DUKES OF HAZZARD THINK ABOUT IT?? NO, NOT THAT ONE, THE OTHER ONE”

No excuse for hatefulness, none, but John Schneider has particularly off the deep end since his wife died from breast cancer last year. I'm sorry to hear he's using such ugly rhetoric.

Anonymous wrote:This is Jay Z’s attempt to have Beyoncé win best country album to spite T swift… good song though

that makes zero sense - even if Bey won the award, it make so sense that Jay Z or B would think this has any bit of affect on TS

Effect. Makes perfect sense. It’s directed right at swift who started out as a country artist then moved into mainstream pop and robbed Beyoncé of her glory.

NP. It doesn’t make sense. Also, Taylor and Beyoncé have been supporting each other at their respective movie openings.

Based on what?

Reality? We are no longer in the Lemonade era.

Reality is a tour that brought in over $500M just last year

Her last album was meh. Her career is on the downswing. She might have a big comeback in the future, but this album is not that.

She has more money than god, she’ll be fine.

I’m no huge Beyoncé fan, but to say her career is on the downsize is just ridiculous.

TS has already won country album of the year. Bey making a country album is zero to TS — literally does not matter in any way.

I like Beyoncé and Swift both. I contain multitudes. I wish them both well and believe they want good things for one another.

I like Rhiannon Giddens on the album. Feels more authentic that way

Based on her being old and washed up. Astroturfed fake hype by her husband and his cronies is not genuine popularity. What was her last hit record? Drunk in Love over 10 years ago? Her most notable hit songs are from 15-25 years ago, ex Halo, Baby Boy, Irreplaceable, and the Destiny's Child songs. She's beyond washed up, no matter how much payola her husband throws around or Ed Sheeran features he pays for.
