Best take yet and is probably pretty accurate. TSJFCV won't be around after this season. Writing is on the wall if you look hard enough. |
The positive thing is that even if each age group loses some top players, it's still only GA and teams will continue to win and have success. Not as harsh as an entrance to ECNL would be. |
|
For the GA families here. If your club is not in Champions Cup are there other tournaments to be seen?
Same for the ECNL families, for examples since NVA (10s) didn't make the playoffs last year were they able to play in other well-known tournaments like GA's Champions Cup to be seen? |
| None of these club and coaching changes will change the fact there are only so many players available and the same number of clubs will be competing for the same pool of players. |
Once ECNL players get to HS ages, there is a multi-tiered playoff system. Basically teams 1-11 get in at some level. Top 5 Champions League, 6-7 North American Cup, 8-9 Showcase A, 10-11 Showcase B. All at the same venue and at the same time. |
When is BP going to VDA? When are his players going? Who will coach TSJFCV GA teams this spring? |
VDA normally announces staff for the new year within the next month or so. So either you hear about it then if it is a done deal or he eventually breaks his silence to the families. |
You don't think they will try and keep their Springfield teams and futsal program alive? |
Or partner with SYC to run their GA under the name TSJ? |
| TSJ is keeping United teams and Futsal program/league. |
What about the United North teams that practiced in/around the Ashburn area? Are those expected to move to Springfield? |
I'm curious too since the other posts have said they don't have field space in Loudoun. |
I'm sure Revolution has a spot for them, too, and they'll still continue to play in EDP and NCSL. |
| I don't believe there was/is a St. James FCV regional (EDP and NCLS) team in Loudoun. In Loudoun the only FCV team was their travel GA teams. I know this is all speculation since no official word is out but if FCV stays in Loudoun in lieu of going to Springfield, Evergreen may not be an option as a practice location since VAR will be GA. So the St. James will need to find alternate fields. Possibly Hanson could be an option, but they may not be able to support all of FCV teams four nights a week. |
It's been said that Revolution and Hanson will both be out for FCV in Loudoun. The issue of field space is now a thing absolutely for FCV and if you take a look around the area, there isn't anywhere suitable that isn't already being used by other clubs. Another big reason why what has been previously mentioned that FCV will likely downsize to a level where the indoor field can be suitable/merge/or dissolve completely. |
