History is replete with examples of wealthy men destroying their children’s psyches and the wreckage unfolding accordingly. Money is no insulator against profound pain and regret. If anything those children born with a silver spoon and a neglectful parent are more inclined to self destruction because they often have no driving force other than the desperate need to please Papa, whereas working class and middle class kids have the struggle to survive to distract them.

How do you know he is a terrible, uninvolved parent? A quick google doesn't bring up any negative stories about him and his kids. Are his older kids estranged? Have they spoken out?

He broke the news to his kids over Zoom. He’s a de facto crappy and uninvolved dad. He could’ve hopped on his jet and told them in person but he had better things to do.

Not that poster but I googled it and it seems Kevin was away filming on location and she filed for divorce. She sent Kevin a message saying she had filed and how they were going to tell the kids together in person when he got back in 5 days. He decided he didn't want to do it her way and wanted to talk to them alone and and not with her and didn't want to wait five days so he told them over videocall. Apparently he video called with them every day when on location so they are used to this mode of communication. She was angry that he did it that way and not her way of telling them together once he was back home.

Sounds like he handled it the right way since he was concerned about the press. If the ex was concerned about the press and her kids, she could have waited the 5 days for him to return, told him, and then kids while he was there and her attorney was filing.

I have an above average understanding of CA family law and would wager money this prenup gets thrown out. The terms are egregious when you consider the relative wealth of the parties, the length of the marriage, 3 kids that she appeared to solo partner, her lack of any career or skills. There is a unique set of facts here that are different from other ultra high end divorces. He should settle.

That was still an ass move on his part. You hop on the plane immediately, even during a production. I can’t imagine not canceling a business trip for such a personal emergency.

Productions can get shuffled around for 24-30 hours.

Couldn’t she wait until he returned from filming to file for divorce? It seems odd to me that she filed while he is out of the country and then claims that she wants them to get together to tell the kids about the divorce before they find out about it online.
