I think I missed something: why did they walk a long way with the coffin and then put it in a hearse to drive it somewhere?

The new Princess of Wales should share her secret on how to have well-mannered children and it should be mandatory reading for all American parents!

Agree, the children were exemplary. Princess Charlotte even knew how to smooth her coat beneath her to sit on it without crushing it, as she took her seat in the car leaving the chapel. Many an adult does't know that.

Not to be contrarian though--OK, it's definitely contrarian--I wish they would retire the title Prince of Wales. It's rooted in centuries of subjugation of the Welsh. Titles based on actual landholdings (like Duke of Cornwall or Duke of Westminster) or on landless honors (like Earl of Wessex) are one thing, but Prince of Wales isn't that. Yes, we have relatives in Wales, and they find it an annoyed eye-roll at best, and truly offensive at worst.

That’s why William was stationed in Wales and lived there during military service. Hoping to get admiration from the Welsh.

On the other hand, Harry is living LA hoping to get admiration from Meghan's crowd.

Don’t think so … more like trying to make his wife happy and adjusting to life as a senior British royal would have been overwhelming for any foreign commoner … the royals Made a mistake in cutting them loose as they would have helped to bridge huge cultural gaps for younger British and commonwealth citizens …

They were upset by racist British press coverage. How was the royal family supposed to stop that? Meghan saw everything as spectacle and assumed they were "acting" for the public. She didn't realize all the protocol would translate to her private life as well. Diana said she felt she wasn't well prepared for life as a royal. I think it is ironic that Harry couldn't prepare Meghan either.

Um, the actual family had conversations about how dark Archie's skin was likely to be. Don't blame the press for that, darling.

We’ve only heard one side.

So...they are free to tell their "side" at any time. I would love to hear them defend that particular conversation.

They weren't with the coffin during the procession from Westminster to Windsor -- my guess is they were quickly whisked to somewhere to stop, eat, drink, use the bathroom, and have a few moments out of the cameras before they they rejoined the procession outside Windsor. And at least this service is much shorter and they largely just have to sit and watch.

They were all in cars from westminster to windsor. I was watching the kids. they were on the entire time. no break.

I think this is also part of the different parenting style in America. Children can handle an hour or two ceremony in Europe without a snack.

No need to tear down American children. My kids could also go an hour without snacks! Maybe you were speaking from experience? If so, don't generalize please.

+1. My children also do not snack constantly, and have taken part in somber services.

I'm pretty sure the remark was hyperbole--but indeed, many American children are fat and lazy and can't go anywhere without snacks.

Yes there are fat American children but, there are also fat British children and fat other nationalities as well.

They responded. In a formal statement. Basically saying it was all made up, or in more diplomatic terms “recollections vary.” That was the only response they are ever going to give.

They are never going to give it to you. It isn't their style and it wouldn't satisfy anyone and give their "enemies" more annumition.

Her little girl bow looked ridiculous. I have no problem with her style in general, but this was an occasion to represent the US with dignity.

She lacks style and class.

"No one in America cares about it" she says on PAGE TWENTY of a thread about it on an American website that has FOUR ACTIVE THREADS about the Royals in "Recent Topics" alone...

Probably. But if Meghan was white with red hair, they could have said how white Archie's skin was likely to be. I see nothing wrong with either comparison. They need to stop being thin skinned (no pun).

When Meghan decided to present as bi-racial rather than white, she was looking for a fight. Twice she married white men instead of black or bi racial men. Wondering who is the actual racist.

She’s black, can’t hide it.

I think she plays the side more suitable for the occasion. Smart strategy, she is entitled to use both sides.

I am a fan of the Bidens in general, but the hat did her no favors.

Lacks style, yes. Lacks class? She's been a high school teacher and is currently a professor at community college and the First Lady. That's class.

Dr. Jill Biden has class. Your opinion does not count.
