Entertainment and Pop Culture
| The King looks the most emotional of them all. This event just highlights how public their life is. |
| I have friends in London. Hyde Park is officially full, had to find a random pub to watch it (like the rest of the world!) |
| The newscasters need to stop talking over it. We don’t need a narrator. |
Not at 5:30 am 🤣 |
Yeah but we’re Americans! |
I watched it on The NY Times website, which was thankfully free of all commentary. |
Where are you watching? Sky News channel via Pluto TV app has been the best. |
DP but I watching NBC and they literally said “all is quiet except the footsteps “… And your voices! |
Lol yeah any American channel is trash for this |
| BBC America is showing the UK broadcast. Very somber. The right amount of measured narration |
| I usually like savannah Gunthrie but her sad/emotional voice does not sound authentic and is annoying. |
NBC. The funeral itself was fine. But as soon as they started the procession they started talking over it. It’s annoying. |
Try BBC on fios 609 |
| I’m just streaming it. No annoying talking. |
| The BBC narrator is just….perfect. Tone, informative historical anecdotes, explanation of the troops & formalities, etc. He only speaks once every few minutes. |
