Political Discussion
Is there another choice? Unfortunately I don’t run the criminal justice system or legislation. We could execute him if you think we should but you don’t run things either. |
Yes, teacher. Do not complain about the standards of behavior of DC public school families. DC area residents will get very offended on their behalf, even though it is a big part of the reason their kids will never step foot in a public school. |
So if someone has served his time, then it's OK to be a criminal? That doesn't make you untrustworthy? |
I'm starting to feel ignored.
I know you are still here - I recognize your distinct writing style. Point me to the question you had, above, and I will respond to it. I promise. |
| death threats to the students and their families. What kind of effed up society have we become, especially without knowing all the facts |
The priest that went with them ordered the hats for the students to wear to the parade, and tweeted to trump that they were coming to DC for it. Trump and co were seriously looking for anything to distract from mueller and the wall/govt shutdown fiasco. What perfect timing to distract and drum up support... Don't think it was planned ahead of time, just a nice like present dropped in trump's lap. |
I try not to lower myself, but in this case, I give in. You're an idiot, PP. If you subbed in a DC school - or even a DCC/NEC school in MCPS - you'd be eaten up alive. ALIVE! The school systems have very low standards for behavior, as evidenced by the number of gang fights in front of my classroom one year. The more non-educators spew lies about education from their blowholes, the more ignorant they look. Do yourself a favor and plug your blowhole up and leave educating to the educators. I'd take a smirk over a gang fight any old day of the week. |
Like I said. A terrible teacher. Go crawl back to your rock. |
That was a different poster. You called ME a terrible teacher because I remarked that the kids in DC public schools behave horribly. In other news, the emperor has no clothes. |
This is yet another imbecilic assumption that has become part of the narrative. That these kids are wealthy. From the CovCath site regarding tuition.(it's since been taken down it seems. I viewed the cached version) $ In/Out of District (2018/19): In District Tuition / Tuition + Fees = $7,950 / $9,150 Out of District Tuition / Tuition + Fees = $8,750 / $9,950 Just to provide some perspective as to how their tuition compares to some local privates (not trying to start a flame war about what local school is better than another school). I'm not gonna link proof of this as all of it is easily searchable. Stone Ridge: $37,100 + expenses Georgetown Prep (day): 37,215 USD +expenses Landon: $38,500 + expenses Bullis: $39,699 + expenses Sidwell: $40,840 + expenses Holton: $42,975 + "addition expenses" NCS: $43,585 + expenses St. Albans: $59,892 + expenses Not sure what private school you could get to for $9-10K around here but those kids would certainly not be considered elite, wealthy or privileged at any of the above schools. But keep saying they are as long as it pushes a certain narrative. |
EUREKA! It was the PRIEST, with the MAGA Hats in the Nation's Capital! Game over! |
This is a parochial school, not an independent private school. The tuition cost is right in line with parochial schools in lcol areas. |
And try to get financial aid at a Catholic School making up to $200,000. You all live in a bubble. I went to Catholic Schools from K-12. I'm no longer Catholic for a reason the church is honestly working on. I can tell you we volunteered far more than our public school requires within one month. We gave back constantly. I had no idea I was from a poor community because of how rich my upbringing was. We welcomed refugees with open arms and the poorest of the poor. Feds or professionals making over $200k getting financial aid at the private schools claiming to be...whatever....is why I pulled my kids from the best schools in this area. Quit crying. |
It is not a parochial school. Provide any link suggesting it is. Parochial school run up until HS. CovCath is 9-12. According to it's wikipedia it has a parish on campus. So does Georgetown Prep. Prep is most certainly not a parochial school. A parochial school running from 9-12 grade only? Right... |
| This whole sordid story has come down to the fact that the SJWs and the media has chosen a man who is a proven liar, a criminal, and a provocateur as their hero all in an effort to vilify some conservative kids. Fortunately, the truth about Mr. Phillips has come out. I am beginning to wonder if he is truly Native American. He has lied about almost every other aspect of his life. |
