I watched him on the news pleading for her to be found. He looked like he was crying, but there were no tears. I have seen people with personality disorders do this. And the fact that they were estranged. Very suspicious.

Omg just stop. Being estranged doesn't mean you don't love someone or that you are guilty of murder.

No, but the crying without tears, if pp was correct, is a time-honored tradition by spouses with something to feel guilty about. That's not to say he had anything to do with her death, but he might be feeling guilty about the estrangement, relief that his allegedly cheating wife is gone. Or worse.

Crying without tears is a time honored tradition practiced by guilty spouses? Huh?

Seriously. What is your source for this practice.... General Hospital? Greys Anatomy?

Spouses are always interviewed. Have you seriously not noticed the number of people who are later found to be murderers who cry but produce no tears? As I said - he may just have conflicted feelings. But please, keep implying I watch crap TV and think it represents real life.

I agree. They were estranged. He probably didn't care as much as he knew he should.

Anonymous wrote:Good lord people, it was a tragic suicide and that is that. There is plenty of digital and physical evidence supporting it. There is no evidence at all of foul play (logistically how would that have even happened? Would have involved at least 2 people unless the killer walked home from Shenandoah). Her husband was not involved. Reading into how he "acted" to fit how you apparently wanted the case to turn out does no one any good at all. This is not a TV procedural.

+1. Some PPs here have watched a little too much CSI and apparently consider themselves detectives.

Yup, there are much easier ways to stage a suicide than marching someone up a mountain and pushing them off a cliff (conjecture! I don't know how the poor woman died) and then having your buddy who has been sworn to secrecy pick you up on the side of the road. It was a suicide. Let the estranged husband work out his mixed emotions in peace.

When are we expected to know cause of death?

Shame on EVERY SINGLE PERSON who contributed to those threads about her and other female personnel. Yes, you are partially to blame.

Jeff, I sometimes wonder why you so heavily moderate certain threads but now I appreciate it. DCUM is not the low cesspool that FU is, and that's something to be grateful for. So thank you.

Those threads are awful. Who knows what was up with their relationship and when they separated and when they started dating other people and why but according to that website she's listed as a horrible slut by name?! There's not a lot of difference between some men here and men all over the world (Taliban).

I wonder now if she committed suicide there thinking it's outside of VSP jurisdiction.

LOL "we"? They may not release that info.

And maybe the hubby knew about the suicide note when he did the press conference I can't remember if the car was found beforehand.

Interesting! I haven't thought of that.

So sad. I suppose none of us know what exactly contributed to her suicide, but to be publicly outed and humiliated like that has got to be horrendous. Then again, I wonder how many men committed suicide, or thought about it, after the Ashley Madison leak. Seems like the sexual revolution has done women no favors, as the double standard is stronger than ever and the more women who conduct themselves like men--whether sexually or in the workplace--the more they are punished for it--even as they are also punished for not being like men.

Not the same at all.

Were the men named and slut shamed too? Or was it just the females being outed like that? It is very weird to me that a grown professional fire fighter would go on to a site like Fairfax Underground and brag about having sex with a young female coworker.

so was she actually named in the FU website? I don't understand the connection.

I felt just as bad for the Ashley Madison leaks. But damn. This was a local thread that anyone in her community could read about her. I would be beside myself. We all have shit we don't want to be public but the wealth of information the Internet provides makes doxxing way too easy and it has serious repercussions on people's lives.
