| Are they planning to release the contents of the note? |
No way |

Column in Washington Post on this.

No way. It's highly personal and would only satisfy prurient interests. It is not newsworthy. But I have to assume something about the harassment was mentioned in that note due to the immediate investigation into those comments that was launched after her body was found and the repeated mentions of the note. |
Her employer was way too little and way too late!!! |
| NP - Can someone summarize what happened? I know she was a firefighter from FF county and I also know she killed herself due to, apparent, bullying. |
Can you read the thread and/or the news articles. You'll get a better idea of what happened than someone summarizing it using their opinion and assumptions. |
I agree. These firefighters or people who pretended to be firefighters on an anonymous forum (to be fair I'll be open to that) were posting things like this for years well further back than the posts about Nicole in December. That Wapo column was excellent btw! |
I agree but why could she not turn to her family for support? I feel like I could survive anything with the love and support of my husband, mom and sister. |
| Um, because not everyone has people they can turn to for support? Good for you though, I guess. |

Well.
Fairfax Underground moderator Cary Wiedemann said that anonymous posters can be identified and information can be supplied to law enforcement officers. “I have and will continue to retain all IP addresses of Fairfax Underground posters indefinitely in case any court wishes to unmask the perpetrators of this abuse,” Wiedemann said in an email to The Huffington Post on Monday. According to the website’s rules, which are posted on its welcome page, any spam, unrelated posts, personal attacks and impersonations are subject to removal. Wiedemann said that moderators do not actively seek out inappropriate content. Instead, they rely on users to report misconduct with a “Report Abuse” link that appears under every post for registered users. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/nicole-mittend... |
Well these posts could have caused problems with her husband and I'm not sure her Mom is alive as I did not hear any mention of her. I cannot imagine how I would feel in her shoes, it is just terrible. |
Good column. So awful!!! |
| God, I wish Anonymous would hack Fairfax Underground, find out the identities of these firefighters (or posters who partook in the humiliation ) and post their full identities including pictures of them, their background, and any dirt on them. That would be such sweet justice. |
| Are the FFX Underground posts the reason she was estranged from her husband? |
