| She was likely under a great deal of stress to know that she couldn't count on fellow firefighters for her life because they were out there publicly ridiculing her. Imagine fighting a fire and you don't know if those guys got your back or not. Plus, as an EMT, she probably witnessed way too many tragedies in her young career, including suicides. It probably took its toll. |
Considering they outed her by name. Accused her of having affairs with other men and then brought her husband and his profession into it to mock him for being a cuckhold, that seems very likely. |
I agree. Or they were estranged before the alleged infidelity. (Still does NOT make it ok to post on FFU) |
| Is there a real investigation into those posts or is it just the firefighters investigating themselves? |
I don't know. However, the police typically give out every detail of what could turn out to be a criminal investigation, or which might result in a public employee getting fired (the latter seems more likely). I would guess investigators are looking at all angles of this. I mean, the story is national news now. |
Are you worried? |

Looks like this is not the first time somebody's life got destroyed on that forum

Interview with the husband and sister of the deceased:

This husband and this family have been through so much. It is extremely decent and generous of them to explain that Nicole's suicide was not likely the result of cyber bullying. Her husband and her sister describe a beautiful, intelligent, complicated and capable person who hid her inner turmoil well from her loved ones.
These are very good people. |
|
It's just another reminder to me about how to talk to young women about what they want to do in their lives. Some workplaces are awful for stuff like this and it's no secret - it sounds like lots of people knew about the bullying.
This will not help with recruitment. |

Fairfax FD is at it again - attacking their new chief on Fairfax Underground. Deplorable.

There is absolutely ZERO proof any of those offensive posts came from firefighters. Zero. None. In fact, I think it's far more likely that those posts were actually made by YOU , PP. Because that's exactly the kind of thing obsessive, mentally unbalanced people do. And I think perhaps you know a lot more about this than you're letting on. |
Did you read the column? The author had a source that said that only firefighters would know some of the info that was posted. |
