did you apply to Sidwell?
rejected there for DD K and Wlist and GDS and MARET
public school is the option

Congrats!! Holton is a great school. I would choose it over Sidwell in a heartbeat. We know lots of families with girls at Holton. Also, know a teacher. Other than a few negative comments about materialism (which I think you find in most groups of teenage girls) everything we hear is great. Our DD is only in PK at St Pats but when she is old enough we will be looking at both Holton and NCS. I hope your daughter ends up there and loves it.

Thank you for the positive feedback. We applied to Sidwell but it was our 2nd choice (odd, I know). No mail yet so I don't know if she was accepted. But, it doesn't matter as Holton just felt right for my DD and she is overjoyed. She loved the school and the fact that she made friends during the visit was a bonus. She can't stop reading her welcome card. I am so happy for her as she worked hard during this process.

I think the consensus is it's pretty meaningless. Of the three Beauvoir probably has the shortest list rel to the number of spaces likely to become available.

Congrats! Our DD just got good news from Holton, too. It was our 2nd choice (w/l at 1st choice), but we're pretty happy. DD is running around the house saying, "I will find a way or make one." (Which I think is cute, but maybe a little obnoxious.) Anway, hope to meet you soon.

Went to single sex myself and want single sex highschool for children. DH agrees. Think its a better way to educate for highschool and middle school.
