Good luck to all. Others might consider us overly concerned about school admissions, but everyone waiting for results knows it can be a stressful process. Congratulations in advance to those who get good news, and condolences to those who do not. I hope we all can come together to support both groups.

DD accepted at Beauvoir for Pre-K. Very very happy. Have to say, process was not nearly as stressful as one might think reading this forum. We are not among the DC elite in job, income or breeding We just applied, went to the tour, took her to her play date, took the test, filled out financial aid forms and waited....... Was completely prepared to pursue alternatives if she did not get in but am very pleased that we do not need to.

Congratulations! Did you get your letter today? We have not got a letter, and I thought that they are not sent out until Friday. Perhaps acceptances do go out before rejects (waitlists). In any case, please do celebrate the day!

Congrats! Did you receive a letter or phone call? Also, did you're child score in the 99th percentile?! I'm just so curious if that is required since I read so much about it on this board. We didn't apply to Beauvoir but we applied to GDS and Sidwell. Thanks so much.

In the immortal words of Scarlett O'Hara, "Tomorrow is another day." Maybe tomorrow's mail will bring better news.

Gosh..what type of kids are they accepting. I truly don't get it. You're kid got 99% WPPSI and I'm sure a sweet child. It just doesn't make sense to me. Don't worry I'm sure the acceptance willl come from the other school's tommorow. Is zip 20016 close to Beauvoir? I have no clue.

I'm so sorry 15:14. I know it's upsetting and it's hard not to take it personally, but you can't. There are just so many applicants.

Just wondering, why did you feel the need to post your salary? Is it relevant?

probably that twisted mentality of 'entitlement'. You know how it is, god forbid someone making combined $100K got in before ME!

Gosh stop being so hard on this lady. I'm sure someone would ask so she is telling. People are here want to know everything from WPPSI score, salary, race, religion, is the mom fat or skinny, etc. etc. She was tyring to give as much information as possible and some of us appreciate her post.

Also, maybe she was trying to point out that high income does not translate into an automatic acceptance. Give her a break.

OR, maybe she thought it DID, & that's why she mentioned it
