Ah, I see. So when the Union wants me to fill out a survey or send emails or something else to advance its agenda, I’m supposed to do that. But I’m not important enough to see the stupid arbitration decision? Got it. Btw, the union filed the grievance on behalf of all BU members, not just dues paying members. |
Just join the union bro. |
Sure, so they can use my dues to negotiate a CBA that’s not worth the paper it’s printed on? I have better uses for my money — like using it for toilet paper. |
Ultimately, if taken through the court system it will be worth the paper it is written on. But it will take years. There is only so much one can do when the other side blows up everything and could care less. |
What kind of follow up do you expect? They won’t know if the agency has appealed yet and, if there are ongoing negotiations, you can’t really expect that they would be broadcast in the middle of before either a deal was made or it fell apart. |
. Can you read? I never said I expected anything. I said if we don’t hear something it could mean they are negotiating. |
You sound whiny. Just pay the dues. |
We got it. You dont like them. So don’t complain about not being privy to their communications. |
So you think it’s professional to share the details of the union email on an anonymous listserv? |
No. The details of the arbitration decision / written opinion. Learn. To. Read. That this is so secret is shady as hell. |
It’s hardly a secret when it’s been mailed to much of the agency. I doubt there was even much of a conscious thought of whether to send it to non-union members, but if there was a way to encourage membership in the union, I’d have no issue with it. If he had anyone who you were remotely friendly with (questionable given your attitude here), I’m guessing they would share it with you since it is not secret. Hell, if you asks HR or management, they might even give it to you. Lastly, have you tried Google or even Westlaw, I wouldn’t be shocked if it is posted somewhere. |
If your coworkers liked you they would send you a copy! |
|
Strange that HR posts very other BS thing all over the intranet, but somehow this is top secret.
But forget the actual opinion. The bigger question is, why hasn’t the union widely publicized the decision (like they publicize every other “win,” from softer toilet paper to towels in the gym)??? |
If you were a Union member you’d have seen the National NTEU newsletter and know they are advertising it — just not to the people who don’t pay dues. |
There won’t be any follow up until an appeal decision has been made. What is there to follow up on? |
