I don't vouch for this guy, never heard of him, but his report is getting amplified very quickly. His user name is @WCdispatch_

This has nothing to do with Reid’s unjustifiable security position. Start a separate thread!

It does if it is true.

Boundary study
Feds
Centreville issue
Football

All are very divisive topics.

There are divisive topics at every school system and I am not aware of any of superintendent who has security, are you?

No. I posted that list. I did not mean she needs protection. What she needs is common sense.
Pretty sure if there were a credible threat she would be getting LEO protection.

School districts across the country are debating items 1, 2, and 4. Item 3 is the big one. If fake, a malicious actor is trying to damage our schools and our county. If true, the October surprise has arrived early.

That’s what happens when voters remain quiet. Enjoy paying your ridiculous taxes for this crap.

"Due to some fast-evolving operational needs, I've had to accelerate the timeline for filling these roles," the second email reads.

Something is coming and it is going to be bad, real bad.

She sure did F you all good. Wow!
Where’s the outrage?

So glad we have higher property taxes and a meals tax to pay for her personal bodyguard.

Fire her and move on already. All she does is spend.

This has got to be a joke. This is too excessive even for Reid!

The fcpd statement says it all. They already handle threats to high level people in the county. They know how to do it and are a national model. Where is the adult on the school board to stop this nonsense?

Exactly like I get some people don’t like her but I can’t imagine she gets enough violent threats to warrant this?

Clearly she is worth it

+1. There's no way she needs round the clock protection. There are plenty of gated communities in the area. She gets a housing allowance and can afford to live in one and install a top of the line security system on her salary.

From the job posting:

Requires exceptional flexibility; schedule will be unpredictable and driven by the superintendent's daily activities and security needs.

Must be available for irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, travel, and extended on-call duty.

Travel? Travel?

It’s basically to have someone with her on all of her school visits, etc.

Wonder if it comes with a vehicle? Glorified chauffeur?

With a British accent! That bi*ch is a joke.

“A source told 7News those security staffers, who were hired to protect Reid, had previously been "responsible for protecting schools" before being reassigned to the superintendent's security detail.” So does that mean she did hire Overton and people from his security company?

Are you referring to his allegation about what happened at Centreville high school? If that is true it's wild and potentially illegal not to inform parents, right?

If centerville is true the answer is not to hire 4 bodyguards but just step down as even the full confidence gave to football coaches will likely not be given back to gatehouse
