I have never heard a democratic president incite violence, no. It is most certainly a one sided problem in the sense that the potus has a duty to quell threats of violence not the opposite. This current potus does not! A couple in Minnesota was gunned down in their home for political reasons and barely a peep from him. You can’t both sides this.

WTOP claims the reason is "in response to recent 'highly publicized tragic events around the country.'" She's not the CEO of a Healthcare company and that is way too vague. The actual percent chance of her being targeted sounds incredibly low. Many of us face threats due to all the insanity in the world and I have friends who have received death threats in their line of work and they don't get this protection.

Given that she is merely feeling anxious and there is no actual threat, it would make more sense for her to get therapy and problem solve what she can do to increase her feelings of safety like get a police officer to walk her to her car at night, take a self-defense class, be vigilant walking around, or maybe get some medication.

Both my parents had anxiety levels skyrocket within a few years before dementia started setting in. It wasn't that their anxieties were invalid, but they were out of proportion and becoming debilitating.

Of course, she can always find a different line of work in a less “threatening” environment, or even enjoy retirement at this point. It’s not like she is irreplaceable or indispensable.
