I don't see the fraud and waste.

Tell that to a 56 year old MAGA that does hard manual work on a farm or as a builder and clears less than that without benefits.
If someone with who fits that description steps forward, I'd like to hear what he has to say. But you don't speak for them. I bet he has more sense and compassion than a bitter troll.

Wait until his farm subsidies are cut. He can check that out on the DOGE website.

I think this DOGE site is intended to push the buttons of people who live in low cost of living areas. They don’t understand that this isn’t a lot of money.

How does that make federal employees earning $76K for their work wasteful? Can you explain?

+1. THIS. I also was career fed. I worked with people who did very little. And they were well within retirement range. Just hanging on to come to work, visit friends, weigh themselves in the nurse’s office, eat a good lunch and go home. Making nicely over 6 Figures, by the way with financial regulator benefits. Get them OUT.

Red Bull and Doritos.

Probably hookers, too. Let’s be real here.

Any career Fed who welcomes an unelected foreign billionaire taking over our government is undoubtedly a foreign asset, a traitor, or (at best) a downright moron.

As long as it gets the job done, that’s fine with me. It’s supposed to be about efficiency and cost savings. Eliminate the positions as quickly as possible and save the taxpayers money. It doesn’t need to be fancy!

Can we also eliminate the $400m for cybertrucks putting even more money into this man's pockets?

How is this not a conflict of interest????

After DOGE gets done making the federal government efficient, maybe they can move to the private sector and make them efficient too. Start with Boeing and work outwards.

Already happening.

I agree with you. But the way to get ‘those people out’ is to do a thoughtful, comprehensive review. Put folks taking advantage of the system on PIPs and get them out if they don’t meet the standard. It doesn’t work to chop entire agencies or groups of people.

Is it legal to release staff members age? It is completely identifiable when combined with the office they work in.

It seems like this would qualify as personally identifiable information (PII). With most government data shared public ally there is a rule of 11 (you can only share specific numbers for groups of 11 or more).

I am a former fed and agree. You could fire 2/3 or more of the agency I worked for and there would be no discernible impact. My colleagues and I would talk about how a fed job was a form of welfare. At least then you had to show up and pretend to do work to get paid. For the last five years, you didn’t even have to show up.
