That’s a ton of money! Especially for people who mostly work from home. Eliminating tens of thousands of positions at $80K a pop is a huge savings. You Feds really are out of touch. That is a huge amount of money for the average American in flyover country. Just wow.

Feds don’t mostly work from home. Most work in the office. And how is it out of touch?

How's this for starters?

As long as it gets the job done, that’s fine with me. It’s supposed to be about efficiency and cost savings. Eliminate the positions as quickly as possible and save the taxpayers money. It doesn’t need to be fancy!

This is where you think waste is? OMG.

You’re the one complaining about the simple site. Do you want them to spend more money on it? They are focused on Draining the Swamp, not web design.

They’re focused on lining their own pockets while hoodwinking fools like you.

No. They are delivering on their campaign promise and voter mandate to Drain the Swamp. His base is quite happy with these moves. Do you still not get that?

Thanks for proving my point about you being an idiot.

It’s out of touch to act like an $80K/year salary is nothing and shouldn’t be a target for government waste investigations. That was my point.

Listened to Elon's interview on Tuesday. Firing tons of federal employees will lead to prosperity for all according to him. We already have 97%+ private employment, so why aren't we prosperous since private is so much more efficient??? It is more likely the getting rid of feds is for propaganda reason for the base. Base likes to hate on fellow Americans, and feds are an easy target. What will happen to MAGA if there is nothing to destroy and nothing to hate? Will they live happily ever after?

What does drain the swamp mean? Also, most people who voted did not vote for Trump. He did not win 50%. How can he have a mandate?

I mean - it’s intended to be a hit list, but really nothing more than what’s in a LinkedIN profile. Might even help folks land new jobs.

See, now you’re being mean again. I told you what the voters wanted and why this is happening and you responded with insults. It’s like you fundamentally refuse to accept reality even when it’s actually happening.

The ‘average American in flyover country’ is free to move to DC, attain the required education, pay DC cost of living expenses, and join the federal workforce.

I think the fact that the three highest bars in the bar chart are $50K-60, 60-70, and 70-80 may have the opposite impact that they are intending. The average salary in the US is $66K, so typical fed is very average.

Very curious about the troll in this thread. What’s your salary? How do you have so much time to post on here? Are there any government benefits you enjoy?

To me it means decimating the Federal bureaucracy which is primarily based in DC as the National Capital. Trump has been talking about this since his first campaign. He’s just finally doing it.

I’m a retired American living abroad.

Jokes on him, fed salaries have been public on the internet since the early 2000's

As you MAGAs like to say, f*ck your feelings.
You thrive on bitterness, jealousy and meanness. Of course you’re happy at the prospect of others suffering.
