There is a website see thorough NY that does it every NY state worker including retirees.

On NYS there is something like 200 retired teachers making $200,000 a year or higher.

They should list retired Feds pensions. That is real outrage

Whelp, this link is dead and the story appears to be gone.

I think the majority of Trump voters from Flyover Country do not make $80K and we be very happy to see those positions go. Again, so many on here are clueless about life in the rest of the country. A Trump voter living in a trailer in Arizona definitely does not make $80K. Do you not get that?

Not are they billionaires like almost all of Trump’s cabinet, but for some reason it’s okay for those employees to be really rich. But normal feds? To the guilotine!!

IMO this is precisely the rub. Government employees seem to think Americans aren't entitled to any job protections, especially if there are foreigners that can do it, or it can be outsourced. I totally get why Americans are upset with their government. I personally could do without the DOL and their wage categories they set for LCAs. Though, going after low hanging fruit like contractors and probationary employees is a little underwhelming, and Musk isn't going to do anything about job security in the private sector. Maybe Musk II will be smarter.

What are you talking about? Your average fed employee deeply believes Americans are entitled to job protections! The DOL goes after employers for wage theft, illegal hiring practices, and labor law violations. Or at least they did under previous administrations, unsure if this one will enforce laws that benefit workers. Musk isn’t going to do anything about job security ever!

They also do Labor Condition Application (LCA) Specialty Occupations with the H-1B, H-1B1 and E-3 Programs. Where they certify that immigrants aren't taking Americans jobs. This has been defrauded so many times it isn't even funny. DOJ v Apple, DOJ v Meta etc All someone had to do at DOL, USCIS or DHS had to do was say hey, your ads in the Sunday edition of the newspaper with misspelled skills jargon that requires a paper copy of mailed in with stamp and your hostile skills interview for which there isn't even a job. All they had to do was say that's not valid, but no we had to have a number of class action law suits, and it's still going on.

You can go to any of the scientific agencies, and they are all trying to get as many "postdocs" (H-1bs) on their grants as possible. EG "Americans just aren't interested in science". Let's see these immigrants go to bat for Fed jobs. HaHaHa They've got your back HaHaHa!

Getting a job these days is like war, that's for sure, welcome to the world.

Even if all you say above is true, what evidence do you have that the federal employees working at DOL are the ones making that happen? Policy development is established by Congress and the laws they pass and by the political folk appointed by the President. Worker bees at DOL dont establish a policy-- they merely do the work to implement the policy.

Many make more than $80K, you know that. I’m sure the argument is that DC cost of living is high, but well, not for long!

So you think someone with years of higher education and expertise doesn't deserve more than 80k?

Truck drivers make more than $80K too. I'm going to start training for a CDL soon.

No trucking is not a good occupation even now. Worst in future. Driverless trucks are coming.

Cut the spending on rockets and EVs, save the jobs. No brainer.

You really can't connect the dots. What about all of those elections in MD where voters voted for those policies. Just doing what you've been told I suppose. Just like all those people who are now implementing the new policies (immigration), because the previous policies were so unpopular. They're just doing their job too. How can you possibly complain about that, and why does it deserve any protection? It's a rough tool for sure, but how would you go about correcting the ship after the warning signs that were willfully ignored.

Several of the retired boomer feds I know were blasting a lot of pro Trump stuff on social media before the election. They have been quiet now …

These are the ones under the old pension prior to FERS. I’d love to see them get picked apart the way our GS salaries and 4.4% FERS contributions are.

Yes, let’s all fight amongst ourselves for the scraps while the billionaires laugh and lord over us.

Federal pensions aren't like state and municipal pensions. Very few Feds in the "new" system (which is 40 years old) get more than $50k in retirement.

It is a bit ironic that the Feds are whining about their jobs when they rubber stamped all of immigration programs the billionaires used to make their billions. It's like whining about the slave masters that owned all of those huge plantations while bringing in more and more slaves to make the plantation owners richer and richer. Oh, but some day you could own a company and have an indentured servant.

More or less outrageous than our country being taken over by a foreigner with FOUR HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS?

Musk could pay all 200 retired teachers their alleged 200K for 100 years.
