Apples to oranges comparison. Fairfax has 100,000 more students.

Because it's a tough decision. Storm warning isn't until 12 or 1 pm. Kids will probably be fine with a full day but there's a chance they won't be and it's super chaotic to have a surprise early dismissal.
.

You are insane if you think they’re going all day

Far too much trouble. She’s probably in the middle of a photo opportunity or drafting a 3000 word email about something.

They’ll be idiots if they just do two hour early release.

Even with a 3 hour early release, you'd have some elementary schools getting dismissed right when snow is supposed to be heavily falling. That's not going to be safe.

This. Can’t believe she’s getting paid so much money for that. I’d like to meet a person who actually reads those ridiculous weekly novels .

some kids don’t get out until after 4pm. they would need a 3 hr early release to account for that and then what if it does come before 1?

I’ve been watching Anderson Cooper’s X account to get the FCPS update. Since so far nothing, guessing it will be headline for his evening show.

montgomery county just flat out said it’s too early to make a decision, but they don’t anticipate an early release even if there’s snow during dismissal.

I think they should just cancel.
Too many families will not pick their kids up early.
