He was about to go back to Miami, had he not extended his trip he would be alive.

His ex wife said the name is familiar so he may have known the sister/brother for a while.

It’s not a midlife crisis cautionary tale, it’s a cultural awareness cautionary tale

To make it look like she’s honorable.

They are going to snow job bob — have to show she is a happily married housewife and he was a drugged f up pursuing her and plying her with drugs.

I can't imagine any jury would acquit. Hope not anyway.

What a trash family. More reputable people would not have been free to booze it up all day and half the night mid-week.

His poor daughters. What was even the point?

In any case I feel sad for Bob who likely didn’t do much besides doing recreational drugs or even just drinking and hanging with the wrong crowd

Here's the text from Momani's sister to Lee: "Just wanted to make sure your doing OK because I know Nima came wayyy down hard on you and thank you for being such a classy man handling it with class
Love you Selfish prik**s."

Disagree. It’s not in the culture. He isn’t seen as a good match for her. She probably wanted to have fun (maybe just get drunk and/or high) and the family wasn’t happy and saw Bob as someone discrediting/taking advantage of the woman

We agree that the family was likely mad that Lee was taking advantage of her--but not because Lee was a "bad match." Momani is a tech wannabe who likely worships big tech bros. He probably would have been thrilled if Lee had been interested in committing, but he wasn't. Meanwhile, the plastic surgeon DH, who may be bankrolling both of them, is threatening to leave. ("The marriage was in jeopardy.") Momani is a loose cannon and hearing Bob tell him that his sister was just a quick lay may have been the last straw.

The plastic surgeon husband

Why would he then kill the potential golden goose?!
Also to worship someone as a role model and to consider someone as a good match to marry into the family are different things.
Many eastern cultures are very very particular about who they consider a suitable match for their relatives

Because he learned there was no golden goose. Momani had apparently known Lee for a while; he and sis probably probably thought Lee left his wife for the sister. Momani "grills" Lee about the relationship, Lee probably tells him the sister is just a good time. Momani then goes apes##t.

Agree that the family is trash. The sister showed up for court today like she's walking a red carpet, but with the cliche black sunglasses to denote suffering. Looks like she's loving the attention. The husband is there to preserve the family reputation.

Ok let’s see how it all plays out in court. Or maybe we will never know the real story

They do not warrant death though
And I am not sure he realizes the crowd was wrong

Nothing warrants death. Doing the things you suggest are not innocuous as you implied.

Don’t be so naive.

Do none of those people have kids or jobs?!?!

Obviously, sister knew it was her brother who did it. could she be charged with anything? given she most likely knew, but didn’t come forward?

Sadly abandoning his family cross the country, supplying drugs, partying till 2am, he was part of the bad crowd. How could he know one was a desperate hanger on — and losing his golden ticket would drive him to murder.
