Not all cloth masks are flimsy and better than nothing. |
There were 1100 cases of Covid in the entire state of VA reported yesterday. A giant Harris teeter is absurdly empty most of the day, you can easily shop without getting near anyone. This is ridiculous. Why are we not allowed to just say, hey, great, a lull without someone being like OMG A SURGE IS IMPENDING |
Why are some people so obsessed with being anti mask? Seriously- what’s the big deal about covering your goddamn mouth and nose during a pandemic in a public indoor space like a grocery store? Go about living your personal life as you please, see people indoors, risk getting covid or whatever you want, but what is the big deal about having some decency in a public, non social place like a supermarket where everyone - those who don’t care about covid, those who are being careful, the immunocompromised, the pregnant woman, the elderly, or the parent with a vaccine ineligible kid in tow- must shop? |
Covid spread is extremely low right now. So my family and I aren’t masking. This is going to go on for the next decade. So keep masking if you want. |
You were lucky. Maybe. You do not know the long term effects that can surface in the future. Studies show you have been affected but may not have symptoms yet. Long Covid affects the vaccinated too so it’s not just a cold and it’s irresponsible to compare Covid to a cold. It travels to the brain unlike other viruses. It is not a joke. And not everyone can be vaccinated yet so it would be appreciated if we could still treat this as a serious virus. Risk is low right now (we think) but if it surges again, I hope people will be responsible. Western Europe is having problems again so we may be next. |
Long COVID isn't a thing anymore than long cold or long flu long stubbed toe. Why can't you just move on already. |
Americans are selfish and reject science when it affects their lifestyle. They claim to have Christian values but don’t care about their fellow man at all. I’ve found the human response to Covid to be very sad. I feel a little depression all the time that people care so little about others. |
Seek therapy then. |
A. Grocery stores have never been hotbeds of transmission because people aren't interacting with each other for long periods of time and the vast majority of people do not have COVID (exception was during the Omicron surge). Most people I've seen are still wearing masks in these settings, as am I, because what's the big deal, but I wear a cloth mask since I don't want to waste my respirators that are actually effective. Honestly, my cloth mask is just for show. B. Wearing a mask for hours each day is a different matter. Most people insisting that children or others continue to mask all day long, do not have to do so themselves. While COVID cases are low, it makes a lot of sense to give people a break, since masking does NOT eliminate transmission and very few people even have COVID so their mask is not protecting anybody. |
Because there is clearly no end game for the most hysterical pro maskers. If you are triple vaxxed and wearing your own self protective mask but are still sent into a tizzy seeing unmasked people during a time of low transmission, I really don’t know what to tell you. |
Hey a lot of us never claimed Christian values wtf? |
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Masks were pretty low when Omicron came, our first case of Omicron picked it up at the grocery store (because that was the only place they went). Masks only work if most people wear them. This was with a KN95. |
Lets not forget about asymptomatic cases too- could be a ticking time bomb with really bad implications down the road and all these people who didn't know they had covid will never know what is happening. |
And the fact this is even less deadly than omicron. Some of you all are so mentally insane. |
Because I do not need to adapt to your mental health problems. I don't care about your anxiety and nerosis. If you are in such a medically fragile state that you can't handle thr sniffles then you need to stay in your hyperbaric chamber. Not. My. Problem. Get some SSRIs. |
