Was hoping for a longer break. ![]() Oh well. We'll go back to masking in public if we feel the need for our family. I know we'll get it eventually. Definitely buying a few extra tests this week. Trying to find them in December and failing was a nightmare. I've been following this FB page for about a year or so. Pretty good info in general but I do have to admit, some of these people are so Covid cautious, I feel bad for their families. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=484934869954824&id=100053149454347 |
That’s probably right just as all of the January infection immunity wears off |
and this is why I am not ready to drop masks |
I’m going with the sub-headline from the NYT article the other day that said “It is not yet causing a new surge in the United States, and probably won’t.” |
Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows. We’ll deal with it if it happens. So far, the experts have been often correct and often wrong and often the same expert has been right on one thing and wrong on another. That’s why the random people who are like “of course we should never have closed schools; I knew that from the beginning” make me laugh because that’s so easy to say with hindsight.
Anyway, Would be perfect timing, as the weather will be fine for outside. |

So can we cancel the return to office? ![]() |
And to me, this is why we're loosening up a little now. For families like ours, with a high risk member, this is going to be a long haul. It's likely that we'll be very restricted again come May. So, taking a chance to do some things while the numbers are low, like we did last summer, and catch our breath before resuming precautions when the risk goes up, makes sense to me. I hope they'll approve a fourth shot for our high risk person before this comes. |
Not worried. We had omicron. Thankfully it was nothing for our family. My youngest was much more sick from her last cold. |
I’ll need too dead bodies in the bread aisle of Giant before I go back to wearing a mask. Omicron wasn’t sht when I caught it. |
I think you can get a fourth shot if you are higher risk. |
No one cares. |
Only if your risk is due to being immunocompromised. There are other reasons people can be at higher risk, such as severe lung disease, or advanced age, and those people aren't yet able to get a fourth shot. |
I'll take a booster every 6 months for life if it means no lock downs or school closures. Not ready for that bs again. |
Please also keep us updated on which strain of flu is going around and where. I will keep my whiteboard of viruses up to date so I can decide which one to worry about and when. |
