Good luck hiring anyone decent now. Also, there are a ton of elementary Special Ed vacancies right now. No one is signing up for that.

What does podunk stand for?

It’s a reference to a fictional out of the way town. Basically places where no one wants to live much less take a poorly paid job as a teacher. FCPS clearly doesn’t have that problem. No shortage. 7 vacancies in K-6 isn’t a shortage.
