Many are promoted b/c they kiss a** very well - or they're connected. And if they're jobs are cut and they're heading back to the classroom, some take the retirement route or they scramble like mad to find some out-of-classroom position like SDT.

Seems like a glitch in the directory, since she's obviously no longer the Damascus principal. After news came out of her transfer to central office, she had a listing in the directory with a vague HR position. That's gone now.

Anyone know why someone would appear twice in the directory, once as “unassigned” and once with their current position? It’s someone who I know wasn’t fired and is going to occupy the teacher position that’s listed in the directory this fall. It was listed that way all last year, too.

Like anywhere, some in central are ok, some are good, and some are terrible. But even my friends who work in central would acknowledge that many shouldn’t be there.
