Lottery (and Waitlist) Swami 2019

For PK3

Matched with Tyler Traditional (in bounds)
Tyler Spanish Immersion (english dominant) - 6
Stoke East End Spanish - 22

Wait list stats from last year show 9 got in off the wait list by count day but that seems totally crazy for 20 total spots. It doesn't make sense to me, so I don't want to be hopeful. Thoughts?

We must have pulled a much better number than last year, as we are in the double digits! PK4 waitlist:

Inspired Teaching #25
Lee Montessori #20
Creative Minds #14
Mundo Verde 8th st - Match

Any chance of movement, or should we count ourselves lucky with the MV match?

There were very few waitlist offers for Lee (2) and ITS (13) last year. You will probably get an offer from Creative Minds. They made 42 in June. My list looks remarkably like your list (including the Mundo prek 4 match)! -Not Swami

DC Bilingual PCS Waitlisted - #4
Breakthrough Montessori PCS - Petworth Matched

Swami do you think that we have a chance at CC or DCB?

Sorry if I am being dense... but can someone explain how the above is possible and yet we got matched to cap city and are number #50 on the waitlist for DCB? Maybe the above family has sibling preference at DCB?

Waitlisted for Van Ness PK3 - #2 IB no sibling preference. Do we have any shot at all given last year it looks like no one moved off the waitlist for PK3?

Swami apologizes for being offline today for work commitments. Now that my crystal ball swamiing is done, my best swamiing is done with knowledge of the waitlist lengths and data, coupled with the Swami gut. Give me a couple days to do waitlist Swamiing!!

Mundo P St. 26
Mundo 8th match
Prek4

Anyone know how deep the Mundo prek4 waitlist goes? We prefer P st.

Swami is offline (apparently she has a life outside of Swamiing!?!) but I’ll give you my best prediction if you give me your grade. We are about to finish our 8th and final year at SWS.

For K:

Inspired Teaching - 82

Last year there was movement for K, but not this much, I think. Speculation about how far it will go this year?
