I love OP. I"m glad she's back. 20:28 could learn a few things from her about lightening up and enjoying life a bit. |
geez, the lady is upset about her wedding, so what? Everyone is entitled to their own disappointment. Do you really need to try and trump it? I had to stop reading after the "my baby was going to die", blah, blah, blah. I certainly hope no one is really saying that in comparison to a bad wedding story. The 2 are not even on the same plane and I wouldn't even try and equate the 2 as I think a the loss of a child is a very serious and real thing and not something to be flip about.
Personally, I think dried floral arrangements are fugly but hey other people think they are gorgeous so if OP is upset that she isn't going to get her special dried floral arrangement, I am completely symapthetic. She was totally looking forward to it and had planned it all out. It sucks when our plans don't work out. I seriously doubt this is consuming every waking moment of her life and she is not likely interrogating each guest to discover if they have her flowers. By the way OP, you told people they could take the floral centerpieces, maybe someone mistook your bouquet for a centerpiece??? |
I would like to thank you all who participate and mostly you who took time to read and put yourself in my shoes.
I'm very emotional and it drains my energy. I've learned to control it over the years and the biggest proof to myself was the fact that I was not nervous for my wedding. I took it all very lightly and as I said before, most of the vendors were so amazed by the way I took adversity that they took time to write down my professional information to pass along as a reference. I'm very happy overall with the experience. I became mature, I learned how to control my feelings and I learned how to dispense my feelings and how to prioritize. No, I didn't always took the right decision but I learned from my mistakes. Right now it hurts a lot that I got to take 3 pics with my bouquet and I didn't hold it for more than 15 minutes but I will wait for the day that I'll look back and laugh at it. To the people that laughed at the way I refer to my heritage I give you my deepest feelings of pity. You don't deserve one spec of my attention but for general knowledge I'll take some time to explain: I don't trust all the content from Wikipedia but this is so clear that I'll have to copy - who is Latino according to the U.S. official use? "* Spanish speakers and persons belonging to a household where Spanish was spoken * Persons with Spanish heritage by birth location * Persons who self-identify with Spanish ancestry or descent" And I'm none of those. Again thank you to the ladies who understood and supported me. You can't imagine what good your words did to me. And to the nasty, bitter ladies there... Thank you for your time and for the laughter. It really helped me to cope. And remember the golden rule. I deal with kids like you every day and they're just sadly pathetic. I wish the numbers were switched... after 200+ posts less than 10% really meant any good. DCUM is only a shallow scoop of the world out there. Sad but true. Good night to us all. |
Thank you for ur kind words ![]() I doubt they mistaken it. They were totally 2 different styles... here is the pics/models I sent to the florist to copy... only the colors were different. there's no way to mistaken one for another. anyway, life goes on and i can't wait to write every single thank you card ![]() May God bless you all ladies and your kind hearts. I bet you fill your homes with happiness being so kind ![]() |
So you are what? Mayan, Aztec or Inca? |
are you one of those who thinks that everybody from Mexico down speak Spanish? did you fail world geography in hs? |
So why not say you are MEXICAN? And yes, just as English is the national language of the US, I am going to venture to say SPANISH is the national language of Mexico. Does this mean that 100% of the population speaks spanish? Of course not. Does the majority of the population? YES. So I will venture to say that the majority of people from Mexico down do speak Spanish, of course there are people who do not. |
OP, the fact that you seemed pretty good natured about all the responses you got and replied to so many of them led me to believe you were sort of laughing at yourself. I'm sorry for my own part in that if that was not the case. I didn't think your complaint was stupid at all but I did think the thread was fun to read. |
In Brazil the official language is Portuguese, in Suriname Dutch, Guyana English... From Mexico down there's more than Spanish speaking countries Sweetie ![]() |
It was entertaining... I did some unpacking while posting since I moved in yesterday and it was fun to stop opening boxes and distracting myself a little. What upsets me is to know that these are the mothers raising the children I have in the classroom... Easy to guess why the little ones are the way they are. *sigh* |

what's ur point? |
OP, I'm so sorry for what happened to you! I really hope this person gets what they deserve.
I went to my friend's wedding on Saturday and she was thrilled to have her Boss Family at the celebration (she has been an au pair for them for the past 2 years). Do you believe that MB cut the cake during the party? Just because one of the kids was throwing a tantrum over it and wanted the cake so bad. She didn't even ask the bride if she could get a piece from the back or whatever. She simply walked there and cut a chunk out of the top layer. Unbelievable! My friend handled it with class and pretended it was not a big deal but once the party was over she was in tears. I do sympathize with you and admire you by the way you handled all the mean and bitter women in this website. You'll heal and as you said you'll definitely laugh at it after some time. Good luck on your marriage and Congratulations! |
Oh that's so sweet. Thank you PP! And I'm so sorry for your friend's experience. I guess we all have the little misventures on our special day. I guess I'll survive ![]() |
