Maybe because some of us like this show?

Sweetheart, if it upsets you so bad that people dislike your new obsession stop replying to them. This is a forum full of snark. Most threads about shows here are about how bad they are or how people hate watch it. The fact that you keep trying to control what people watch and that you think it's so strange and bizarre that people on DCUM might take the puss out of something is what people are now laughing at and reading this thread for.

The woman who created this show is a bit of a hypocrite and a terrible actress, the ratings are bad, and it's got a lowbrow element of the three stooges that some people find offputting. You are just going to have to accept that some people are going to post negatively about it.

Sweetheart, I have no problem with people hating this show or any other. It's when you haters decide to make out the rest of us (you know, those of us who are having a good time discussing a funny show) as simpletons or idiots. You seem unable to criticize the show without making nasty digs at the fans.

I think it's you and your groupies who need to learn how to criticize shows without slamming other people who don't share your views. Or is it you who wants to control this thread?

First of all, I am not a hater - I was trying to give you some advice, because from your posts you seem upset over people disliking this show. No matter how much you say you don't have a problem with it. Some sort of nerve must have been struck with you here, because you've gone on and on about being called a simpleton or idiot when no one has called you that.

Second, what groupies? Seriously what are you talking about? Also, if you notice I did criticize the show and not the viewers. So again, what the hell are you accusing me of here? Do you even know?

Third, please point out where in my post I tried to control this thread. I'll wait...

Finally, this is DCUM. People are going to be bitchy, they are going to call others out, they are going to say something is shit when they think it is shit. If you read here you should know this. If you can't handle it, over a tv show no less, than maybe you should take the kindly advice I gave you in my first post.

A. No "kindly" advice needed, thanks.
B. "Drooling fangirls" and "People who love this show are the same kind of people who like Cathy comics." -Nah, not insulting at all. Should I quote some other gems?
C. I rest my case.

Well, you didn't answer my question but whatever. I didn't call anyone a drooling fangirl or make the Cathy remark. You do realize though that you've thrown some gems out there too right? That was why I said, if it gets under your skin maybe stop replying to them. If you are enjoying taking part in the barbfest, knock yourself out and disregard. As for "sweetheart" I didn't use it in a mean way, if you want to be so defensive you take it that way thats on you.

Go ahead and make gross assumptions about me and insult me though, instead of taking the two posts I made at their word.

Does using "sweetheart" make you feel like you have some kind of checkmate? Because, if you havent noticed, a lot of people have called you out for having embarrassing posts.

Time to look in the mirror, babe.

Once a mean girl, always a mean girl.

Where is there anything mean in the post above? FFS. "If it makes you upset stop replying" "This forum is like this" "You are going to have to accept some people won't like this show" Seriously? I give up. I am starting to agree with some of the other posters who don't understand the fanbase here at all. So I'm the mean girl, people who don't like the show are morons....but you're upset someone compared the show to liking Cathy Comics. Okay.

Might I suggest you do the same. Glad to know you enjoy "Glee" though, one of the most trite, embarrassing shows I've ever seen in my life.

OMG. You realize that people use memes and it doesn't necessarily mean they like the show/whatever it is from right?

If she said "I love Glee, now thats a great show. I don't like Odd Mom Out though." I could see your reply....

Enjoy it while it lasts, heard the ratings were really bad. I watched it twice, she is too annoying, it is so phony and poorly acted. I give it one season. As someone who lived on the upper east side in NY for 6 years, I can tell you that its a jungle but that its not THAT bad.

I think it's hilarious. No one on that show is immune from mockery - not the UES moms, or the Brooklyn-ites, and especially not the main character. It's an exaggeration of all these "types".

Ratings are still bad though. Maybe it'll get a second season since bravo only has two scripted series. I wish I could like this and I've tried, but it's off my dvr. It's getting stupider/lamer by the episode.

Agreed.

The kind of people who like this show are the type who enjoy Cathy comics.

LMAO. That is dead on.

Are either of you able to say you dislike a show without slamming those who do like it?

I've never seen a more overly sensitive fanbase on DCUM before. Maybe its just one person, but its amusing to watch them get huffy over anyone who dislikes this piece of shit show.

And yet you still watch it and still post on this thread... that's the funniest part!

No, the funniest part is reading the SUPER EXCITED OMG SO FUNNY posts by the people who just lurve this show. I don't watch the show, I'm reading this thread because it amuses me. You are not pointing out anything clever or ironic. Reading certain threads on DCUM is usually enough junk food for most.

Actually I've never seen it. My, my- you certainly have strong feelings about a variety of shows.

And seriously, unless we're going with the Alanis morisette version of irony (which is to say: the incorrect definition), you used it wrong.

It's absolutely pathetic to read, and definitely supports the pps assertion that fans of the show would be fans of the comic book Cathy. Certainly they don't seem like a particularly self aware group

On the upside, they are a fun group toes with, in a cringed way. Someone pass the popcorn!

Irony: a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result. But I know it makes you feel better to keep saying I used the word incorrectly. 'Bye now.

And are you new to the internet or something? You really think every person who uses a gif has to be a diehard fan of whatever show/movie it's from?
