Friday's "snow?"

They will definitely have an early release. Freezing rain is expected 2/3 chance of more snow

The day it does snow Taylor has schools open but when it doesn’t snow Taylor has a 2 hour delay.

It’s not supposed to snow all day but this morning will be a mess. I already had to shovel.

We live in a rural area that has not been touched by a plow, there is an inch, it is slippery, and the road to the school is like a roller coaster and the drive takes 30-45 minutes. If there is an accident and I lose my baby or she gets hurt, I will be furious!!! Ther will be he!! to pay!

You can choose to drive your child today or keep them home if your that worried.

Teacher and MCPS parent here. With opening on time, now we’re supposed to leave earlier than normal to clean off our cars and account for snow on the roads. I’m leaving at the normal time and I hope my colleagues do too.

+100

Delay for rain and open on time for falling snow? Already an inch here

Wow, an entire inch.

Not all of us live on flat, plowed roads!! An inch of slippery snow could mean lots of accidents. Some of us live in rural areas, and are commuting from far away. I am keeping my kid home as I work from home and it is possible.

The rural areas aren't going to get an inch of snow.

The side roads that weren't treated have relatively little traffic. People won't get into accidents. Especially not anyone with common sense.

Jesus wept.

And all of this to afford students an extra 2 hours in school?

Taylor just always makes the wrong decision

They aren’t going to dismiss early. Its going to taper off, not increase.

Stuck on a secondary road right now. Nothing is treated. Definitely slick. Bad call.

You’re bit entitled to a set time of leaving your home, my god. Get a grip.

Grow up. Your commute is your own making, and this isn't unique to winter conditions. If it was raining you'd want to leave early. If there was a special event impacting traffic you'd want to leave early.
